It had just flooded when we got there

We didn't get to see much, most of everything was closed and the lake was very flooded. Our site was covered in about 4-5 inches of mud so we had to buy a shovel so our jacks... read more

This was our first time to Lake of the Ozarks State Park campgrounds. Coming from Minnesota, we are accustomed to woodsy campsites with a lot of privacy and scenery. I would say that this campground came pretty close! We just loved it and the site itself was gorgeous. We are a family of four with a 1 1/2 and 4... More

I love the fact some states have state parks with electrical sites! This park has sites you can reserve, and non reservable sites. Sites are large and well spaced. There are ADA sites available. There must be 300 sites. Clean bathrooms and free hot showers until they winterize. Park open year round. Boat launch with price based on length of... More

We just broke camp after camping in area 4 for 4 nights. We loved it and will definitely be back. A few of the highlights of our stay: 1)Very clean restrooms and shower house, 2) quiet cove of the lake, we took our standup paddle boards out every day, 3) very sweet and helpful park staff, 4) nice convenient hiking... We didn't get to see much, most of everything was closed and the lake was very flooded. Our site was covered in about 4-5 inches of mud so we had to buy a shovel so our jacks would go down to the concrete. Our site seemed to be the only would with a really bad mud problem so just don't... More

While in Osage Beach, we chanced by the sign for this State Park, and decided to have a look. They had a trail that was about 2-miles long, so we decided to go for a hike. There are a lot of rock formations, woods, the lake, it was very serene and beautiful. Even though we just went fo the hike,... More

We came here to do some hiking, and after 2 trails we decided to move on to Ha Ha Tonka. The trails just seemed average with nothing really great to see. We did see a baby deer, and one bluff that overlooked the lake, but honestly we preferred Ha Ha Tonka.

We visited Lake of the Ozarks State Park for the cave tour. It was great. We also enjoyed the local springs and simple beauty of the area. The staff were also friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating. The grounds were also clean and well kept. It is a nice place to visit and worth the trip!

Driving into this place, its not signed very well. No cell signal there either so couldn't get a map. We drove around for 75 minutes before FINALLY finding the cabin we had rented. That's the only bad thing... everything else was good. Got cell service in the cabin areas as well -- even thought not through much of the rest... More

Our family recently stayed at this wonderful State park. The first thing you will notice is the drive from the highway to the check in booth is over 2 miles. The camp site is an additional 2 miles which means you are isolated from the outside world - exactly what you want when camping. The park was laid out by... More

We enjoyed visiting the beach/swimming area. The drive through the park is beautiful. The swinging bridges were worth the drive. It was nice to get away from the busy area of the lake and have some less populated area to go to.
