Rep. Conaway and her staff went out of their way to make our visit to the capitol wonderful. Her secretary pointed out things we should visit in the building, and we met Rep Conaway on the House Floor and she explained about a historic vote being taken on that day

It is a cool (literally) place on a hot day. The hot air (legislators) may be gone :), but the air-conditioning is still running. Whether you take a guided tour on explore on your own, there is something to see all OVER the capitol. From the two standing museums, to the busts of famous Missourians, to the wide variety of... Even though I have lived here in Jefferson City most of my life, I still enjoy visiting the Capitol and the Museums in it.

I work right down the road from the Capitol. I love taking my breaks and walking around. The inside is beautiful.

The beautiful outdoor garden behind the Missouri State Governor's Mansion was a beautiful, romantic setting for my niece's April wedding. Even a little bit of rain was delightful - a great excuse to bring out lovely umbrellas.

We made a quick stop here and it was nice! Beautiful building with a nice little interactive museum that kept the kids interest. Plenty of free parking. Great free activity!

We spent about an hour in the Museum before our tour started. It covered a lot of history and information and was interesting enough to keep us entertained the whole time. The tour lasted about 45 minutes, which was just about perfect for the 12 year olds on our trip. The tour guide had a lot of good stories, we... More

We like to visit state capitols and this was a good one. There are guided tours and you can grab a map and look around yourself. I would suggest taking the guided tour. They leave at the top of each hour during open hours (except lunch) so you have to watch the clock. We missed the first few minutes of... More

The Capitol should be a required tour for all elementary students. There is a lot of history within the building. Even when the legislature is not in session, you are still likely to see someone working in the building. Try to call ahead to your Representative or Senator to let them know you will be at the Capitol. They will... More

Awesome murals and exhibits! Great, helpful staff! Took short self-tour of rotunda and fourth floor photos, my grandfather was a State Rep way back in the 1930's!
