Had the chance to linger in Jefferson City for a spell after some business meetings. Capital building was a stunning piece of architecture that had some impressive sculptures and gardens surrounding. Would recommend if you have an hour to spare.

Just to be able to walk around and look at the capitol is a nice experience. There are gorgeous stained glass windows, beautiful wood, a lovely museum.

I make a point to visit a state capitol any chance I'm nearby one. While the outside of this building is very similar to most others, the inside was just beautiful! I loved all of the intricate details and loved how they had different "museum exhibits" located down either wing on the first floor. I loved that we could wander... More

Another capitol on our quest to visit all of them. We do our best to hit the capitol of each state we visit but we only spend an hour or so touring the grounds and checking out the architecture. Jefferson City was one I had wanted to see for a long time having been born in Missouri yet never visiting... More

The capital is very beautiful on the inside. One of the darker aesthetics I have seen in a capital, but beautiful none the less. There are 2 small, free museums inside. They have great, interactive areas for kids and historical parts for parents.

Don't just drive around the capital, park and go in! There is a museum run by the state parks service on the main floor and it is worth your time to walk through or take a tour. Ask to see the Thomas Hart Benton Murals. They are amazing! If you are lucky and know someone who works there you can... More

Went here for a conference. I was really impressed with the unique sophisticated architecture and the history of the building. It was very impressive and plan on being back next year for the conference.

Enjoyed the tour. Beautifully painted domes and walls. Love to hear the story of Missouri's history. It's a hoot to see all the politicians in their uniforms - navy blue suits and white shirts.

This is the third time I visited with in 2 months. I've been making a point to visit State Capitol buildings, and this by far is one of the best! Wonderful murals, busts, and architecture. Tricky to navigate the entrances, but once in, who cares?! Missourians should be very proud of this and so many other historical buildings in the... More
