Beautiful architecture and guided tour of the building was very interesting. We went for the first tour at 9 am on a Saturday morning and had almost a private tour. Free tour lasts about an hour and well worth the visit. Will return if ever in Jefferson City again.

Loved our visit to the Capitol! It was nice that there was actually something to see on the main floor, with the history displays. It is unfortunate that you can't get into at least the galleries of the house and senate, but you might be let in if you take one of the scheduled tours. Be sure to go at... More

Went for business, hadn't been for years. Had lunch on the 3rd floor rotunda. Lot of interesting things to see. Maybe even visit your rep or senator!

Not only is it beautiful on the outside but it has one of the best art collections anywhere. River views, amazing architecture and invaluable art. Take the tour provide every hour on the hour and then plan to wander a while. Don't forget the museum!

This capitol has some incredibly beautiful art and architecture. We took an informative tour; our guide did a great job of pointing out features that added to our appreciation of the building. I recommend the tour. Visit the lounge with the murals by Thomas Hart Benson. They are amazing! This is well worth taking a side trip to Jefferson City... More

The Thomas Hart Benton murals are a "MUST SEE" The scenes seem to move with you & provide a different perspective. Don't forget to look up at the dome, too. Seeing the Capital lit up at night as you approach Jefferson City is so comforting to me. It means I am HOME!

This is what State capital buildings should look like. It's traditional and elegant. Very pleasant to see and visit. Well worth a closer look.

Open seven days a week. You can tour the building on your own or seek a tour guide. There are lots of historical artifacts and information about the State Of Missouri. You can park close to the capitol building (limited parking) or by the metered parking. Takes about three hours to tour the whole capitol building. It is a well... More
