Owner description: Puddleduck Vineyard is a small family Tasmanian Vineyard owned by Darren and Jackie Brown. We welcome you to taste our beautiful cool climate wine at our friendly cellar door, which is open from 10 - 5 daily. Whilst here you will probably meet Polly our wine dog, or Lucky or cellar door duck. Feel free to have a "Reverse BYO" (you supply the picnic food and we supply the beverages) to enjoy while in the area.

I come here every time I visit Tasmania. I think the wines are fabulous, the staff are really friendly and they obviously love what they do. The winery offers you the opportunity to BYOF (bring your own food) which can make it the perfect place for a long lunch. Their selections of wine are definitely worth trying and I always... More

Stunning views, the ducks are near by, the local dogs say hello. Wine tastings and not expensive either. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the wine is fantastic. On your way to Richmond village drop in. They are extending the venue at the moment but this does not interfere with tastings. You do not have to do the... More

Puddleduck Vineyard was a lovely experience - particularly as the service at some of the other local wineries had not been great. The staff were very friendly and personable, and the variety of wines was simply excellent. I took home 3 bottles of lovely wine!! Time was pressing - as always - and the vineyard is undergoing some new construction... More

What a great place to visit. The wines are fantastic and the owners and staff are so down to earth and friendly. Thank god I live on the mainland or I think this place would become my second home. Sitting out on the grass with a glass of their sensational Pinot wine and a tasty cheese platter, watching the duck... More

Currently undergoing some extensions. Good wine, but $10 a glass for tasting? I like the ducky theme, and the ladies working there were fabulous.

Visited with family for a birthday celebration and picked a cracker of a day to sit outside overlooking the pond, while our children followed the ducks and ducklings. We took along some nibbles and enjoyed the hospitality of Jackie and Michelle who made us feel very welcome. The group of children found a soccer ball and occupied themselves while we... More

Unfortunately the winery was undergoing extensions so we probably caught it at an unavoidably bad time, but the combination of shop and cellar door tasting in the one small area made it very unattractive for wine tasting.

Thankyou for your valued feedback. When we built our one room cellar 8 years ago it was perfect for the one or two groups we received a day. As our popularity started to grow (via word of mouth) so did the group bookings and people visiting - so we purchased a marquee to help with the over flow. It has... More

Visited the winery earlier today and tried their ciders! All very good - my favorite was the sparkling one! My husband tried their wine and loved the Sauvignon Blanc fumé - the newest addition to their wine list. There is a great story behind the winery and their breast cancer research commitment was a bonus! Hope my duck wins! :-)

The construction didnt deter us as that comes with progress. At first we were well attended to, but as soon as the wine tasting began, our host appeared distracted by other customers and the potential sales that he would make from them. This was off putting and so we took our custom elsewhere. These are not the best wines we... More

My partner and I popped in and sampled some wine earlier this week whilst staying in Richmond. Although the business is undergoing construction works the service and setting were still wonderful, as was the wine for that matter! Well worth popping in if you fancy a little fun with your wine tour...
