We met Rio in Sayulita while walking through town and he explained the day of sailing to us. We were sold and decided to go the next day out to the Mariettas Islands. It was the day of a lifetime! Cindy and I saw whales, dolphins, blue footed boobies. We jumped off the boat and swam into the islands and... More

Everything was exceptional. Nicely presented food is a plus. Only one idea that would have improved the experience for me....Turn off the music to allow hearing the boat move through the water and the breezes fill the sail. The music was non stop and very loud although the crew were accommodating with the several requests to reduce the volume on... More

We went out with Sayulita Sailing Expiditions and really enjoyed ourselves, five in total. It was all inclusive, food and various refreshments, bathroom on board. The staff were extremely competent, friendly and did a great job of looking after us, but not in our faces; they watched and approached when necessary. We met in downtown Sayulita and were driven to... More

If you've been on a day sailing trip anywhere in mex, Central America or the Caribbean, you know the drill. It usually comes down to who's on the boat, who runs the boat, and how the crew works it. This boat is a good size, but not too big, so it's not a cattle call. Rio - the somewhat Austin... More

My wife and I really enjoyed out trip with SSE. Rio and the gang made the trip a great experience. Marietas Island was really cool and I'm glad we got the chance to swim up to it. One word of caution, the swim to and from the Island does take a bit of work, I wasn't phased by it but... More

We had an amazing time with Alley Cat! The boat was beautiful, not to big and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and approachable but also not to overbearing! The drinks were delicious and my hands were never without one (unless I needed a break!). I felt like I was on a trip with friends and family. They did a... More

This trip to Marietas Island was just what we were looking for and very reasonably priced (1000 pesos/$80). Unlike Vallarta Adventures (a full double decker ferry boat) this was a small Catamaran with only around 15 of us onboard. You can make your own way to La Cruz or go from Sayulita with the company for 100 pesos/$8 each way... More

an all day excursion on the trimaran with an awesome crew. Went the Marietta isles, swam, snorkeled, had ceviche with fish caught while sailing. One of the highlights of our two weeks in Mexico. Muchas gracias.

Hey guys, Just wanted to let Trip Adviser friends know this is a rad adventure. My new wife and I were sitting on the Sayulita beach siping beer and relaxing. This friendly guy Rio stopped by and asked if we were interested in a catamaran sailing trip to Los Marietas Islands. We asked him if he was a time share... More

Had a wonderful time aboard the catamaran with Rio, our host for the day. The boat was smaller than many of the other boats, about 30 people and we actually got to sail some instead of just motoring the whole time. The trip was out to The Marrietta's and included swimming, snorkeling, a couple of kayaks and a live musician.... More
