I had such an amazing time learning to surf with Beto and Jose. I had taken a short lesson last year in Costa Rica, but these two were heads and shoulders above my first instructors. They made sure we were comfortable on land before we even got in the water and then made sure we had a blast in the... More

Honestly, the best experience I could have imagined. I have the surfing bug now and can't wait to come back. Beto and Jose were knowledgeable, encouraging, and made sure my friends and I had a safe and fun experience. Everyone in our small group was able to paddle into and ride waves by ourselves by the third day. From the... More

After taking a few surf lessons in Hawaii a few years back. I figured I'd never try again. Wasn't the best experience! But sitting on the beach in Sayulita watching the surf schools in action. I thought I'd give it another try. I was pleasantly surprised at how much easier and interesting the instructors made it for me. I feel... More

I have travelled to many places taking lessons; Bali, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, & NZ. I take lessons in these places to improve my skills and to learn about the local area. I find it's best to keep it local when travelling. Beto, a surfing instructor, is respected by his community. For him, it's more about teaching people the surfing life... More

Sayulita Surf Camps was a great choice when booking surf lessons in Sayulita. I booked two sessions, one for me and my wife and also a much larger group lesson. Both sessions were very professional, with everyone surfing by the end of the lesson. Beto, and our other instructors were all very professional and easy to learn from. I would... More

I spent a week surfing with Beto in September and had a great time. The conditions were good, Sayulita was a fun town but most of all Beto was a great surf teacher and a lot of fun to hang out with. After observing my surf technique (I am intermediate level) he gave me some tips that completely changed my... More
