Just a dog, too large to photograph the whole thing in one. I expected it to be cuter. Not really worth looking for.

We discovered this next to the walking bridge over the Vologda River. If you didn't know what it was, you may not understand that this is the monument to 100 years of outdoor electric lamp posts. We laughed out loud when we saw it. The dog sculpture says it all.

I was with a local who was showing me around for the afternoon, and she told me about this monument. It is literally a faux old-timey style lightpost with a bronze dog statue peeing at the base of it haha. My friend told me that it memorializes the first electric street lamp erected in vologda.
