Adam Puchta Winery, located off Hwy. 100 on the banks of Frene Creek about 2.5 miles southwest of Hermann, is the oldest family farm winery in Missouri. Its true uniqueness, however, lies in the fact that the same family has continuously owned it since 1855. We are a true farm winery with a peaceful, laidback setting. Many cats live here, and the property has picnic tables on a lovely shaded hillside so you can sit, visit and relax.Tastings are done in a cool old barn where we pair wine with food for a truly enhanced experience.

Not too commercialized and super friendly staff... I don't know much about tasting wine but they sure helped me out!! One of the only wineries that had you try different crackers or chocolates to really taste the wines!

We were looking for a day trip from St. Louis and I suggested wine tasting. My husband and I had an enjoyable and informative experience at the Adam Puchta Winery. With the tasteful wines combined with very helpful food pairing instructions, this was more than a day trip adventure. We learned more about the wines we enjoy, the wine tasting... More

We may have just visited on a bad day for the staff, but the two people who were working when we were there were not friendly at all. We seemed to be putting them out by sampling and buying wine.

This Wine is wonderful. There is something for everyone. Of course there is a wine tasting opportunity. They do a fabulous job at this. Offering different little snacks with different wines to pair flavours. One of my favorites was Chocolate and Jazz Berry. Yum, they also suggested making brownies with this wine, so when I returned home. I did. Fabulous.... More

We enjoyed both wine & cracker pairing, but especially enjoyed the education tasting the Vintners Select. The pourer was an expert in each bottle's characteristics and offered his personal experiences with each. Great venue inside and out on the property.

Thank you for writing a nice review of our winery. Yes, our winery owner is an animal lover, we actually have several cats on the property, however most of them don't like lots of people so they only come out when it's quite. We are glad you stopped in for a visit and we hope you do so again. Cheers! More

They change 5 dollars to get in even if you do not want to do a 'wine tasting'. The wine tasting is in a barn and is served out of plastic glasses. To say that the wine is average is being generous.

Victor, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our winery. We are sorry if you were disappointed with our wine tasting and cover charge, but during Octoberfest weekends we charge the cover charge which includes our featured wine tasting and entertainment. We use the plastic cups on the weekends because we just couldn't keep up with... More

Enjoyed all the wines options. We were attended by a young family member who spent time explaining the aspects of the family business. Appreciated the time he took with us.

Stopped by during Oktoberfest. Loved the atmosphere of the winery and absolutely LOVED the wine tasting. The only winery I have been to that has paired wine and food. Definitely recommend for wine lovers!
