Its true uniqueness, however, lies in the fact that the same family has continuously owned it since 1855. We are a true farm winery with a peaceful, laidback setting. Many cats live here, and the property has picnic tables on a lovely shaded hillside so you can sit, visit and relax.Tastings are done in a cool old barn where we pair wine with food for a truly enhanced experience. « less

I'm really surprised that this winery isn't ranked higher on tripadvisor. First off, they have the BEST tasting wines in Hermann. I also love that they have 2 separate tastings. Most people only do one, but I would definitely recommend doing both of them. Secondly, they have really good cookie bits to sample with each of the wines. I think... More

Although Adam Puchta has pretty good wine (especially the 2 varieties of Port), my wife and I like to go there because of the friendly staff and because it is a nice place to hang out while enjoying a bottle (or 2). There are many picnic tables and lots of shade. It's in the country, so it's sort of peaceful.

Very nice, classy, clean - very nice personnel in the tasting room. Polite personnel inside to cash out your purchases. Calm, inviting atmosphere. Very nice.

I love Adam Puchta!! Reifenstahler, Adam's Choice, Cat's Meow, and JazzBerry are the one's my boyfriend and I love to share. But I also love the Ports and the Sweet and Dry Vignoles! I always love how they do wine pairings to show you how the taste of the wine can change depending on what you eat with it. But... More

So this winery remains one of my perennial favorites to bring friends to when visiting. This winery offers one of the best tastings that you will experience in Missouri. Be sure that you don't visit during the high-volume busy times of the year and you'll be able to experience it. The last few times I've been here the normal tasting... More

We went here on a summer Saturday. They had a band playing on the porch, which was fun. But when you go to a winery, you want good wine. And this place came up WAY short. If you like farm wine, this is the place. If not...And with a summer Saturday, the place was pretty full, so the wine pouring... More

I have to admit, I am not a fan of Missouri wine. I typically find it too sweet for my taste. However, Adam Puchta does have a couple wines that are tolerable - their Hunter's Red being the best. I love the fact that you can bring coolers with snacks to the winery, although they do have crackers available for... More

We've been visiting this winery for almost ten years. Their wine (especially their port) is wonderful, and they do a great job of pairing up different crackers to enhance the wine flavors. The last three years we were uncomfortable while there, because one of the women who worked there was hostile to the other staff. It was really awkward. So... More
