Its true uniqueness, however, lies in the fact that the same family has continuously owned it since 1855. We are a true farm winery with a peaceful, laidback setting. Many cats live here, and the property has picnic tables on a lovely shaded hillside so you can sit, visit and relax.Tastings are done in a cool old barn where we pair wine with food for a truly enhanced experience. « less

For $5/person you get to taste 7 or 8 different wines along with tiny tidbits of snacks that bring out the flavor. Our wine guide was born and raised in Hermann, which made the entire thing worth it. He knew a lot about the history of the town and the wines there. Although the wines weren't my favorite (most of... More

After visiting another well-known winery and never getting a pour after 20 minutes at their wine tasting counter, we took the advice of the B & B we stayed in and headed to Adam Puchta. Other couples were tasting wine, but they welcomed us and set us up to sample wines almost immediately. (They charge a small fee for wine... More

This winery is one of the oldest around, and unfortunately I felt the service reflected that. There was a definite "I've done this a thousand times before; let's see how quickly I can get this couple processed and out of here" vibe from the host of our tasting ($5 apiece). Preferred the service attitude at Stone Hill and Endless Summer... More

Enjoyed our visit. The building was a rustic setting...almost like something from the 1800's. Had to pay for the tasting, but the samples were big enough my wife and i shared them. Got several "food parings" with the wine (which they also sell), and the girl was very friendly and helpful. Went home with several bottles. The winery is home... More

nice place, clean, otherwise similar set-up to others. service staff knowledgeable and friendly. But the wine was the best we tried while in Hermann. we bought 5 different bottles and probably could have got some more. will definitely go back. had to pay to taste, but not any different from other wineries

This is our favorite winery in Hermann. The wine is delicious and the atmosphere is awesome. This time around Larry was the one who assited us with the wine tasting. He is great and we enjoyed sharing stories with him. My advice is pay the $10 and try all 16 wines and buy the port for sure. It is fabulous.

This was our first stop on Saturday morning and it pays to go early. Now key word here is Saturday and I would imagine the crowd might be lighter during the week. We did have to wait and the cost of the tasting selections were higher but they did give you options. Since there were 3 of us girls -... More

Numerous people opined that the Adam Puchta winery was one of the best in the area. After experiencing the place I have to wonder how much wine they consumed to have dulled their senses to that extent. I have been to wineries all over the country from Northern California to Southern California and throughout the Midwest. Adam Puchta ranks near... More

The service was slow and not well thought through. The Port tasting is nice but bottles of Port are a little expensive for MO. Restroom accommodations are not good.

We spend an hour or two learning and tasting their fine wines! Took all the tasting tours they offered then sat out side and enjoyed a glass but not before buying 10 bottles of their great wines! A must!!
