This historic mansion still needs lots of work and love! It is amazing that the structure and contents survived its neglected times. It contains beautiful furniture, Tiffany lights and windows, wood trim and doors. So worth seeing. However, the first floor was in need of a serious cleaning. Our tour was toward the end of the day and the older... More

Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your visit. You are right!!!Each of the 30 rooms at Rockcliffe is different and each one can tell its own tale as you beautifully said. Thank you very much for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed the tour. The Mansion survived vacant for 43 years so did most of its furniture. It shows the quality of the construction and products of that time period. By then, everything was made to last. Isn't it amazing!!!! Thank you again. Warren and Juan. More

Juan was a great tour guide and home owner! Just can't imagine that the home sat for years and they didn't drag off more things. Even being haunted you would think things would have gotten broken or stolen. Goes to show how things have changed. NOW, if you don't bolt things down they would all be gone! The house is... More

Thank you for your kind review. We are very glad that the Mansion survived and now we can show it to Hannibal's visitors. I can see that you like painting. The view from the Mansion is very inspiring for artists: the valley, the Mississippi!!!!. We show three beautiful paintings made by local artists among other art of work by listed... More

Beautiful house with interesting colorful history. Worth the time, but we did feel a little rushed. Would have liked to look at each room a little longer.

Thank you very much for your review. It seems that 1 hour tour flies. However we encourage questions. We take pride of our restoration work and we appreciate the interests of our visitor in the Mansion's history. The Mansion is also full of original fixtures, Tiffany's works, furniture of great significance made by Prudent Mallard, Pottier and Stymus, Mitchell &... More

We stayed in the Anne Marie suite. This room is a large room with a fireplace and sitting area and has a queen size bed. Also, has it's own private bath. If you think the rates are too expensive for a stay you should consider what is included. A tour of this beautiful mansion, a wine & cheese (nuts, crackers)... More

Thank Jim and Tam for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. The Anne Louise Chamber is becoming one of the most popular rooms of your Bed and Breakfast. The original (and working) bathroom fixtures by J.L.Mott, including a Sitz bath, is an attraction by itself. We are also glad that you enjoyed the Queen size Mitchell... More

So thankful this magnificent mansion was saved from demo. To see this beautiful example of the opulence of the time period is a treat. The owner has a wonderful knowledge and respect for the original family, their belongings and the era. Definitely a must see attraction.

From the outside our expectations were not much until we stepped into the foyer and were transported to another era. The tour was conducted by a former resident who in her late eighties had more energy than me. Every room was a revelation. The workmanship, the house's history, the furnishings, and to top it off a ghost made for a... More

Rockcliff Mansion is a must see when in Hannibal. The 1 1/2 hour tour was very informative and Warren our guide who is also the owner, provided many historical details. Hours later, I'm still shaking my head in disbelief! How so much of this fabulous mansion survived 40 years of neglect is beyond me. Rockcliffe is a Hannibal must see.
