Great Cafe and wine/beer selection to take along to the movie. A funky feel and excellent movie selections. Great Patio for lunch or drink before or after the movie. Good people watching.

I enjoy this uniquely decorated theater. They show films that do not usually make it to the main stream theaters. They show foreign films, documentaries, and other films that make you think. In their lobby, they have a cafe with soup, bread, sandwiches, desserts, and wine that you can take into the theater or eat in the lobby.

This is a great little independent theater in the middle of downtown Columbia. In my experience the films are reliably good, even though I've never heard of most of them. There are two screens, and the seating in the smaller theater leaves something to be desired, consisting of old couches and found chairs. But then, it's part of the funky... More

It's always fun to go see a film at Ragtag. There are 2 theatre. One is larger and more modern. The smaller one has old furniture instead of typical movie theatre seats. An employee comes out before the previews to tell you about upcoming shows. They typically show more art house films but occasionally they will show something that also... More

I have been to many theaters in my day, but none has managed to match the film choices, staff, and atmosphere of Ragtag. I have seen at least ten movies here. A staff member will give an introduction to each film before it begins, which I feel is a great touch. Moviegoers are nearly always respectful in way of not... More

Grab a glass of wine or beer and a giant cupcake and relax on a couch while watching a great independent film. Much better than squeezing into a regular movie theater. Great atmosphere, drinks, foods, movies, and pretty low cost too.

A movie, good food, and a decent glass of wine or a beer in an atmosphere of camaraderie--I love this place.

Ragtag is a great experience. Interesting films to say the least. It's a fun place to sit on a sofa, drink the house wine( which is great!) and enjoy a film. The people who work there are awesome too!! One of Columbia's unique experiences to enjoy.

Not only do they show great films and let you take your food and a glass of wine into the theatre with you, this theatre makes no bones about letting you know you must NOT chat during the film. I love that! Finally, you can go to a theatre where EVERYONE is there to appreciate the film!

So cozy with lots of character. Great community feel. Being able to drink wine and eat food from Uprise Bakery during the movie is also a plus
