Great Place for Kids

Our 4 granddaughters really enjoyed feeding the fish & learning about the process of the hatchery. The staff there are great. Best thing is that it was FREE!

Many pools of fish in the hatchery, kids could feed the fish but got a little bored after a while. The nature center was nice and gave a lot of information on many animals. Staff was very informative.

Rain was forecast that day. We chose the fish hatchery because it was free and partly indoors. Great choice. My kids 5 and 7 and we adults liked the short movie about the hatchery's history and liked looked at the Missouri wildlife exhibits they had. A very knowledgeable man led an indoor tour. After the storm passed, we spent about... More

There were so many fish in each tank when you threw in the food it looked like you could walk on top of them. The program telling about the fish was very good. If you can get there when they are feeding the fish.

Fun quick little view of a hatchery. Kids like to feed the fish. Worth a quick stop and walk. All ages.

Kids seem to love this place, and parent love it because it's free. Off the beaten path, but a nice pretty scenic drive.

This is the informative part of your Branson vacation. Young children won't really understand this hatchery, but they will get a kick out of feeding the trout from the quarter vending machines!! There is a small nature center building full of tanks with fish, taxidermy animals and a video on the hatchery. The staff is very informative and willing to... More

See LOTS of Trout. Feed the Trout for 25 cent for a hand full of feed. The kids love this part. Displays inside and often have DNR hands on animal sessions where you can touch small animals, snakes, etc. Put it on your list of Branson attractions.

We had a very nice tour of the fish hatchery and learned so much. I never knew that breeding fish was such an amazing and involved process. My sons love fishing, so they particularly enjoyed the aquarium that housed some gigantic trout! Our tour guide was humorous, and it was plain to see his enthusiasm for the work--and he was... More

Fun and informative and a beautiful setting being by the lake. Can feed the fis (.25). Good to take the tour and learn what the purpose of the hatchery is.
