Interesting little place for the family. Its free and there is no guide or itinerary. My kids enjoyed walking the hatchery and learning about the trout and how they are raised.

The little kids really loved it. They got to feed trout hatchery fish and really enjoyed seeing all the different size fish.

ALWAYS a stop when traveling with kids! Where else can you see millions of fish and get the chance to throw a handful of feed to them and watch a feeding frenzy! Be sure to visit the wildlife building while there and enjoy the animals and stories the Wildlife Conservation has developed. Once again a good family activity and it... More

This is a great tour! Very interesting to see what the Mo Dept of Conservation is doing. We have lived in four states and the MDC is by far the best we have seen. Great tour guide and an easy way to spend time with the family.

We have little ones, and they thoroughly enjoyed feeding the fish, watching them go crazy and jumping when they threw them the food. The visitor station is neat too, with other creatures to see.

Our friend said "I have been to many fish hatcheries, but have never seen anything like this". There is also a visitor center where they... More

After watching a short introductory film about the hatchery, we strolled around the interesting exhibits. The kids placed their hands inside a covered box to try and identify what they were touching--snake skin, fur, etc. The kid-friendly hatchery even included live animals such as snakes and spiders. Proceeding outside we purchased food (25 cents) and fed the fish in the... More
