This is definitely a place your should consider - not your typical Branson attraction. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. View the video first; we found the manner in which the trout are fertilized quite interesting. Walk around the room after the video; don't miss the razor back turtle! Outside, you'll see trout in various stages of growth. There's... More

If you like wildlife the hatcher is the place to see more Trout than you will ever see in one place and you have a quarter you can feed the fish and watch how quick they find the food and eat it before it reaches the bottom of the tanks no matter how big the fish are. More

Very interesting, learning about the fish in the local waters. The visitor's center is worth the short drive out from downtown Branson, even if you don't go out to the fish ponds. However, they are certainly worth walking outside to see. More

This may sound a little boring, but it really isn't. It's very interesting to see how the fish are bred. I found it amazing to learn that all these fish are just to stock the lakes for the fishermen - none are sold commercially. I fail to see the sport/enjoyment that fishermen can achieve when their quarry has been obligingly... More

it's a fun way to kill a little time. take quarters so you can buy fish food. if not they will give you change at the front desk in the learning center portion. there are signs with interesting facts as you walk through. After a short while you have pretty much seen it all. More

This was a free activity that was interesting. I thought the hatchery would be closed due to the weather, but it wasn't. The conservation area was full of Missouri wildlife facts. The animals on display were interesting, and for the walk on the through the fish hatchery you were offered complimentary loaner umbrellas. We then drove up to Table Rock... More

The Fish Hatchery was not bad, it just was not great! It probably deserved a 3 1/2 but not a very good rating. For free you get a interesting 12 minute movie on the hatchery. There were no guided tours when we visited so perhaps that would have made it better. The staff that were there we very pleasant and... More

Interesting (free) attraction to spend a little time away from the neon lights. Kids liked feeding the fish, but that did not last more than 15 minutes. Not sure I would plan my vacation around this place, but worth a quick stop if you are visiting the dam. More

It was neat to learn about the life cycle and conservation efforts being taken. Even our 12 y.o . son was engaged in the presentation and asked questions. They sell food to feed the fish..all you need for that is a roll of quarters and a bag or something to put the food in. The kids will enjoy watching the... More
