We've been to several fish hatcheries so I sort of knew what to expect, but this one's in a very scenic area (just below Table Rock Dam) and does a good job providing a self-guiding tour via signs and displays. Fish food is available via 25cent "gumball" machines, and it's fun to watch the fish fight over it. Be sure... More

I have never seen a fish hatchery. It was interesting. The day we went was sunny. The fish follow the shadows. You can purchase fid food for 25 cents and feed the fish. That was fun. The fish pens hold fish at varying stages of development. There are you can read that tell you about the hatchery. Beyond the hatchery... More

We always make it a point to stop here when we visit Branson. It is one of the places the kids always are excited to visit. So much to see and learn while we are there, and they love feeding the fish.

I brought my son and niece here. It was interesting and they enjoyed the self guided tour. We had missed the real tour by 15 mins and did not have time to wait around for the next one. There were lots of interesting information on the signs. The fish knew the drill..People approach - food comes. As you walked by... More

We found this place by just driving around between shows & exploring but I am SO glad we did!! It ended up being the most talked about experience with our children (8 & 5yrs) & only cost us 50 cents! They have a precious turtle with VERY interesting story you need to visit to learn about & a LARGE hatchery... More

This attraction is located just below the dam. It is sort of a self guided tour around the pens of fish from very tiny ones to ready for release biggies.

Asked at the resort we stayed at, where can we take young children to have something to do for the day and they recommended this place. I am sooo glad that I asked. I wasn't sure if the girls would enjoy themselves at a fish hatchery, but I was mistaken. My 6 & 8 year old granddaughters absolutely LOVED it.... More

Very informative tour, and very engaging for the kids. It was a nice way to spend the morning, plus it was free. Bring some quarters & disposable cups for the kids to feed the fish. I highly recommend this for families with children. It's worth it to take the actual, guided tour.

Shephard of the Hills fish hatchery is a very interesting stop. Kids and adults alike enjoyed it. Except for the 25 cents you spend on fish food, the visit is completely free. Very nice center and plenty to walk around and see. You also get a great view of the dam while you are there.

This is free and very interesting. My husband and I visited without our kids and were happy that we visted the hatchery. I recommend the trip for families with small children. Feeding the fish is fun. Don't forget quarters for the feed and bring in an empty cup to put the fish feed in.
