We spent a day at Moonshine Beach during a week in Branson in Sept, 2013. The weather was gorgeous, the lake crystal clear, and the water temperature perfect. We were there on a Wed and it was not crowded at all. There are several covered picnic benches, and we split time between sitting there and laying on towels on the... More

I cannot say enough positive things about this gem of a beach! I grew up in Wisconsin and have spent many summer days swimming in numerous lakes but have NEVER swam in a lake this clear and clean. I could stand in 5 feet of water and see my feet! Plus, when our suits dried I could very barely even... More

Went a few times during August including Labor Day weekend and had a relaxing time on all visits. For laying around in the sun or floating on the lake, just for doing nothing it was great. Actually not to crowded.

This is a beach that was created by man and the sand was trucked in so it is a mixture of sand and river rock. Closer to the water, the sand turns rockier and rockier so being water shoes. It's a bit tough on the feet otherwise. You can rent an umbrella for $20 if they are there and it... More

What a nice surprise. After being gouged on just about anything in Branson, we decided to spend our last day at Moonshine Beach. At only $5 a carload, this is by far the best deal in Branson to keep the kids entertained and engaged in family fun. The water is crystal clear and you can see schools of fish teeming... More

I was so upset because we discovered this gorgeous beach on the last day on our holiday. After sampling the many delights of the 'strip', we came across the beach by chance. The water is as warm as a bath and completely still, unlike the sea because there's no tide and no salty seawater. You can rent umbrellas, gazebos and... More

Had a great time watching the sunset in the West, with the many colors, peaceful water and the many boats and beach swimmers....

Overall a lovely beach- we got there at 7 pm and it was a little annoying, we had to pay five dollars to get in for only a few hours. The beach was pretty clean, only a few cigarrette butts and can tabs scattered around. The water was very clear. We walked in it for a while until we decided... More

I read previous reviews about the beach, and pebbles, etc. And yes, it is true that near the lakeshore, the pebbles/rocks are uncomfortable. I'd wear watershoes or old tennies or something. In addition, they will keep your feet from burning on the hot sand. That said, this is a bargain ($5.00 per car load) and the grandkids had to much... More
