My wife and I recently visited Branson, expecting to be entertained, enjoy the beautiful surroundings and relax. While driving into the main part of Branson we were surprised to see a P51D suspended on a base, in front of a large rather large plain building. After having the rare pleasue of flying a renovated WWII P51D two years ago, and... more

Mom and I were just trying to find something to do between shows, when we paid a visit to this museum. We found it very interesting. Mom was especially pleased to find her brother's name on one of the four walls (floor to ceiling) of service people killed in action during WW II. Interesting exhibits on such things as gas... more

Okay, I know this place privately owned. The collection IS amazing. The names of the dead on the wall are very moving. The giant sculpture is INCREDIBLE. I totally understand the intent of everything here. But... it is completely sterile. the exhibits are set up like a department store. I would have loved to seen some of the uniforms on... more

This place is absolutely wonderful. I didn't expect the collection to be as extensive as it was. They had a LOT of stuff for each of the major wars US was involved in. There was a WW2 vet going through while we were there, probably talked to him for an hour. Very well-done exhibits! more

My husband & I went through this museum last Sept. Not crowded at all. In fact, we were the only ones there! The owners/hosts were very pleasant. We wondered around for an hour or two. If you enjoy history & artifacts, you will love this museum. Very moving & a couple of times I had tears in my eyes. more

Vietnam, Desert Storm and the war in Iraq all have been brought to through a daily does of TV and the papers. I was humbled and moved by this Museum. To see what they fought a war with and won made me realize that the key weapon was their hearts. They wanted Freedom and wanted it bad. They loved this... more
