This was a pleasant relaxing train ride. Views were not spectacular, but very pretty. I imagine when the trees start to turn it would be better. I called and got our reservations early so we could get a seat in the last dome car. We also took the first ride in the morning, which was nice. The staff was really... More

My 4-year-old had a great time on the two hour ride. He mostly walked from train car to train car, but he enjoyed being in an old train. The best seats by far are in the clear topped cars, but they fill up quickest. The seats clear out some during the ride, so try to find a seat up there... More

Let me start out by saying I wasn't sure this was something I wanted to do based on all the reviews complaining about the scenery. They made it sound as though you do nothing but drive through a wooded area with trees so thick on either side you can't see anything else and yes in many areas this is true but... I wanted to see the area and thought this would be the way to see it. You travel up 40 miles and back on the same track. Most of it is in trees. I would only recommend this trip during the fall foliage change or to experience the '50s era trains.

Name is misleading. There is very little scenery to see. Mostly trees and rocks. Train was very comfortable and my wife took a nap. Train crew is very friendly. Save your money and see the Titanic for the same price.

This activity would be good for a train enthusiast. We didn't find it especially entertaining. It just traveled through the countryside, but not really anything to see. First ones on the train took the best viewing seats which are in the upstairs observation area, but those seats are limited. You have to get your ticket early as you board by... More

I would have ranked it a 1, but the conductors and staff are so nice, I ranked it a bit higher. Save your money and spend it at Dogwood Canyon Nature Park in Lampe, about 35 minutes from Branson where you take a tram and get up close and personal to beautiful scenery and wildlife such as bison, elk, deer... Smooth ride! Our car was near the end of the train going south and had leather reclining seats; very comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The train itself was a piece of history. The ride was not "scenic" except for a few areas, but was enjoyable!

I must say that the Branson Scenic Railway was disappointing. The terrain over which you travel is part of the problem. Much of it is limestone rock formations along with trees through which you cannot see or cannot see more than 50 feet or so. True there are some open areas that offer pretty scenery and two tunnels through which... More

Adult prices are $26 with the AAA discount. We sat in one of the 3 dome cars. Narrated tour. I don't know what I expected but all there was to see was trees & 2 tunnels. Yes you go over a couple of trestles but you can't see them to take a picture. Smooth, comfortable ride. Vintage cars to walk... More
