My buddy and I took a weekend last month to dive the world famous Bonne Terre Mine and I have to say, it's a unique experience. First off, I'm currently a divemaster with a few hundred dives worth of experience in both cold and tropical diving locations. This mine is definitely a cold water experience (water temperature is about 58... More

Our dive club has a group trip to the mine every winter to dive there. This past winter was the 5th or 6th consecutive year we have done the trip. We've had as many as 20 people come down for the trip and two of us have made it every single year. The diving is great in crystal clear water.... More

My husband is a scuba diver and we went for the yearly Treasure Hunt they have. It is very nice event for divers. Since I was not a diver they had walking and a boat tour so that non divers can see the inside of the mine. And yes you may take pictures, they turn out best without a flash.... More

Nice to see very short tour for the money you pay. Had to wait while half of the tour went on boat ride cause they sold to many tickets to one tour group.

Had a great time. Especially recommend the treasure hunt. During the auction, I bid on and won the 3 free dives package so the trip paid for itself. Really looking forward to going back for more leisure diving. The hunt is really chaotic and goes against basically everything you learn about diving (being relaxed, not sucking air, don't over exert... More

We had a chance to go on the walking/boat tour today. The walking was easy just a couple of steep areas. The guide was very informative and it is an amazing place when you really think about the size of the mine and the depth of the water. There were scuba divers there as well today so that made the... The site deserves a lot more respect than the staff gives it. I had the chance to dive here and since I had heard so much about it I had to go. The mines are awesome and I could easily spent many hours exploring the place. It had a surreal feel I can't imagine being duplicated anywhere else. I felt... More

We took the walking and boat tour and were very impressed with the beautiful sites and crystal clear blue water. I had a few moments pause as we began to walk down into the mine. The stairs are very steep wet concrete and the center railing was loose. This really should be fixed. I felt all along the way that... More

I dove this in Nov 2012 because I heard it was a great "once in a lifetime" dive to cross off my scuba bucket list. In my opinion it is a novelty dive to do once and never go back again, Also, in my opinion the service was deplorable at the time I dove there. The amenities were not great... More

I took a group of 14 divers and we all had an AMAZING time! Diving the mine is super fun and unique. The staff was great. Our guide Jeff was Awesome. Funny, knowledgeable and very passionate about the mine. He really added a great perspective to what the mine was like when operational. I plan on doing this as annual... More
