The museum is right on the river. It is large and everything is well labelled and documented. It will take about 3 hours to see it and maybe longer depending on your interest. Life on the Mississippi. Sorry I don't remember the admission fees but it must of been reasonable. I think we stopped at the Chamber office on Hwy.61... More

History and information/facts about the Mississippi River and rivers feeding into and volume of water flowing. Have been during one of the dryest periods (2012) and when the water was receding from an all time high. Awesome..

They are very helpful. They gave us some information as to what is in the area to see and do. Also, they told us of good places to eat other than the casinos.

The Tunica museum gives great insight into Tunica county and the history of the area and the delta. A great way to spend a couple of hours.

Visited museum based on reviews here. Had a great time. Excellent history and exhibits!!! In the middle of nowhere, but worth the extra 10 min drive past the casinos.

Just off State Highway 61 North of the Town of Tunica, the Tunica Museum is a must see if you're at all interested in the history of the area or Mississippi delta region, and it's FREE with donations accepted. This is one of the few things, really, to do away from the casinos. The exhibits are wonderful and very detailed.... More

The visit to the Tunica Museum was a spur of the moment decision. We went to the museum surprised by the free admission and then totally overwhelmed by the extent of the exhibits. Totally worth the time and great for the entire family. We will definitely be making a return visit to the Museum.

This is another place to learn the history of the delta. You will learn about the native americans. There is no price to go though it. They just take donations. this is another place for the whole family.
