Just off State Highway 61 North of the Town of Tunica, the Tunica Museum is a must see if you're at all interested in the history of the area or Mississippi delta region, and it's FREE with donations accepted. This is one of the few things, really, to do away from the casinos. The exhibits are wonderful and very detailed.... More

The visit to the Tunica Museum was a spur of the moment decision. We went to the museum surprised by the free admission and then totally overwhelmed by the extent of the exhibits. Totally worth the time and great for the entire family. We will definitely be making a return visit to the Museum.

My boyfriend and I traveled to Tunica to celebrate my birthday and the history geek inside me just had to go to the museums! We were both very surprised by the quality of this museum! It had several different exhibits, from the musical history of the area to the education system in Tunica. My boyfriend is a bass player and... More

I was pleasantly surprised. This little museum had information about everything concerning Tunica County from the arrival of the Spanish explorers to the economic windfall from the present day casinos. Their was a great demonstration of the importance of cotton in the area from being handpicked by slaves to modern day machinery that does not require any manual labor, thank... More

The Tunica museum is just what the name says. It is all about Tunica, the people, and the farming industry. Especially touching was the Veterans Wall with all the names of the veterans, what war or conflict they served in and wether they were killed in action or survived. There is no admission charge but they do have a donation box... More

This museum will give you the history of the Mississipi river. Great exhibits and live fish and other critters. Well worth the admission. A relaxing place to visit and see the river
