Beautiful Carousel

We enjoyed visiting Meridian and the carousel was beautiful. We didn't ride it but it did bring back memories.

I'm not really sure how to rate this one since we arrived on a Saturday around 11am but the carousel was not open. It looked like maybe they were setting up for a party, but it seems that they would only schedule parties outside of regular business hours. This was one of the primary things I wanted to see while... More

Rides are only 25 cents and although the animals are stationery, it goes quite fast so hold on to those little ones! Check the City of Meridian's website for hours--it's very limited in the school year. It is located in Highland Park which can be an iffy neighborhood. You can park just outside the carousel house, but it's probably best... More

Remember being here when I was a child. While the area has changed a lot, the carousel still is nice. Its one of a few left in the states and is great to see, especially from a historical standpoint.

The carousel is indeed beautiful, however it's located in a very dangerous location - be aware of your surroundings

This is a beautiful carousel. It's in a lovely setting. But the area is not save after dark, so go early.

My cousin had her daughter's birthday party here and the place has no air conditioning. The kids were almost too hot to want to do anything. They still had fun but it was not a pleasant experience. While the place is in a more rough neighborhood, I never felt in danger or unsafe. Two high school minimum wage kids were... More

One of the only remaining old Dentzel Carousels in the US.. Truly one of the most important and beautiful things to see in Meridian MS... Located near the cemetery containing the graves of the Gypsy king and queen, the carousel is available for birthdays, wedding receptions or just a fun ride. All the animals are beautifully restored.. It's a treasure!!

I have been to The Dentzel Carousel dozens of times since I was a child. My daughter's fourth birthday party was here a couple of years ago and we have been to several parties for her friends. The carousel is beautiful and so much fun to ride. Everyone working there is always so friendly. They also sell cotton candy and... More
