The Lauren Rogers Museum is an unexpected surprise for a small town the size of Laurel. It has the quality of a large city museum. The building itself is lovely, and the art work which changes periodically is superb.

but it was a delightful small museum when I visited back in 1999. A lovely docent led my sister and me through the collection.

This is an incredible gem in a small town in the south -- MY hometown. It is surprisingly well-curated and has lots of gorgeous pieces to view, as well as periodical exhibits that rival some of the best in the country. Visit LRMA if you drive through Laurel!!!!!
