This is a fun museum if you are into nature and wildlife. We took our 8 month old and she loved to look at the fish. The outdoor trails are nice as well. Would be a fun outing if you only had about 2 hours to kill.

We went to Jackson for a wedding and had a few hours of down time. We hear this museum was celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday. As a kindergarten teacher and mommy, I loved that! They had amazing activities and were very organized and friendly. We even got to take a family picture with The Cat in the Hat. My litte girl... More

I visited the museum with my son and grandson (almost 2). The collection is housed in a beautiful building with glass covering almost all of one side. It's on a lovely property with lots of walking trails. The staff was courteous, pleasant and helpful. We went on a Monday and had almost the entire building to ourselves. My grandson was... More

Another great place in the Jackson area to take your kids to play and have some fun. Storytime for the toddlers is a big hit with our daughter. Some of the exhibits change out during the year which is nice as it gives us an excuse to go again and have an entirely different subject matter to entertain.

Every time I pass through Jackson for night my kids DEMAND to go here. They absolutely love the place. There are a number of fossils and the habitats for the live animals are just great. They have fish, snakes and gators. There are also interactive activities for kids and school groups are always welcome here. You can spend several hours... More

What a great place to go to learn about the natural science of our state and region. We always enjoy our time there. Their changing exhibits give our citizens to learn more and more about flora and fauna of our state.
