We love coming to the museum, always interesting. Everyone should make an effort to come here, there is also a children's area.

Spend several hours and enjoy ALL of the exhibits, aquariums, and walking trails. Great for all ages from young children to seniors.
We were only in Jackson for a day, and we heard that this place was thebomb.com so we went. It was seriously awesome. There was a trained guy there who held snakes and was teaching the kids all about snake life in Louisiana. Also, the outdoor park and walking trail area was very beautiful, and is great for any age...

We've been to the Museum of Natural Science a few times with our children when we are in town to visit family. The two-headed snake is a big hit as is the giant sloth. It's a nice mix of live animals and animal representations, remains, etc. with interactive information. The extensive playground in the park is a bonus - we...

The Mississippi Museum of Natural Science is a wonderful example of the lost art of charging exactly what something is worth. Great place to bring the kids to learn all about the different wildlife, insects and fish in Mississippi. They also have some great walking trails to enjoy the outdoors. The Mississippi Children's Museum is located within walking distance as well as a large playground. The kids will not want to leave!
The adults and children (12, 9, 8 and 6 years old) in our group all enjoyed this museum. There was plenty of variety (from rainforests to aquariums to fossils and hiking)!
Great place to visit with a lot of information in the museum. Many displays and aquariums for the kids. The trails outside are also fun, but be sure to wear good walking shoes and carry water and a snack, as some are quite extensive.
I took my grandma here the last time she was in town and she loved it as well, great exhibits, very informative and helpful employees. This is a must do if you visit Jackson.
My family usually takes a visit here once a year and we've never been disappointed.
The museum is usually broken down into three areas: Featured exhibits (currently dinosaurs but switching to rainforests sometime in late January), Mississippi wildlife and flora (fish, snakes, stuffed animals, trees, etc.), and nature trails.
The family favorites are the aquariums.
Yes, there are better museums...
