I liked that it was not hard to find. I did not like the hours, it is only open from 10-4, which here seems to be about the hottest part of the day. They do have a splash pad there, which is nice. LOVED the play area for the children, it is the first of its sort I have seen... More

I am always pleased with the Hattiesburg zoo. Even though it is the smallest real zoo in America, it feels very big. The zoo has many activities for people ages young and old. They have great food, gifts, and staff. All kids enjoy riding on the train and merry go round. They also have an excellent haloween festival. I would... More

The animals were kept in tiny exhibits and it was a pretty cramp zoo itself. The thing I did like was most animals could be touched and seen up close. I still wouldnt go back though. Especially seeing that the ostrich had standing room only in his pen :(

My family had a wonderful experience at this zoo, and we loved the bargain price! They have a splash pad, playgrounds, and a petting zoo. The staff was very friendly and the scenery was just beautiful. While it's not as large as other zoos, it was the perfect size for our family and we can't wait to return.

Last week my wife and I took our nephews ages 6 and 3 to the zoo they had a great time riding the train, looking at the animals and playing in the splash pad. They had so much fun they ask when can we go again..

We live in the greater new Orleans area and the Audubon zoo is expensive, large and generally un-enjoyable.. My family and was staying at Paul b Johnson state park and wanted to get out for a day so we decided to check out the zoo..no crowds, no lines, no over stimulation..just the right size, lots of exhibits and unlike larger... This was a great little zoo! We stopped in the week of Christmas and they happened to have Christmas with Santa, we skipped it due to the prices for breakfast. But went on a tour of the zoo. It was a chilly day and not many sightseers! Loved the juguar as he seemed very friendly wanting to play with my... More

I have lived in Hattiesburg for 40 years. When I first came, the zoo was a rather sad place. The animals were in cages, and I don't remember any natural habitats. As many things have changed in Hattiesburg, so they have at the zoo. There have been many, many changes throughout the zoo, and it does not even resemble the... More
