This was a great little zoo that we wished we could have spent more time at. They have a train that goes around the perimeter of the zoo. Everything is in walking distance. There is a splash pad and concession stand and a covered patio. I would recommend.
We went w/family and friends on a spring afternoon. The price makes it an amazing value. You can ride a train & a carousel for a little extra per person; careful getting off the train, as the low overhead can hurt you. (I have a visible scab on my balding head one week later.)

A very good zoo for young kids. The zoo i just the right size so that the kids won't get bored. You can easily get through the whole park in less than 2 hours. There is a short train ride available that goes around the perimeter of zoo (I think for $3).
this is a nice little zoo--it is located --in an area where -you could just go and spend an hour or 4 hours--it is a fun place for the kids --plan a picnic and enjoy!
The Hattiesburg Zoo is wonderful to place to take your family and friends, visitors to your city! They have a marvelous picnic and playground area, walking track, rides and animals to see.

The selection of animals is very limited, but it was during winter hours. Exhibits were under construction so it will probably be much nicer during the summer. Staff was very nice and friendly.
not enough animals very disappointed we went through the whole zoo in about an hour and had planned to spend at least three to four hours there. there were no exotic animals and the prices for beverages and snacks were absouloutly out ragious
