I like how Louisiana offers cabins in its state parks at a very affordable rate. (I rented a “single” cabin for $60 per night. Larger cabins cost more, but are still economical for their size.) In some states, it is impossible to rent state park cabins for less than $100, putting them out of reach for many individuals and families...

Leroy Percy State Park is located in the Mississippi Delta 5 miles west of Hollandale,Ms off MS 12. This is the oldest state park in the state. It is also the only state park in Mississippi with a wildlife preserve. Hunting and fishing are available. However, no swimming is allowed in the river because of the alligator population. For 2...
