The staff was very friendly and helpful at checkin. The room was nice enough, although kinda pricey. We joined the Player's club to get an additional discount on the room..... this is where the nightmare began.Spent the next hour plus bouncing back and forth from one line to another. had to take a pink slip back to the player's club... I would not recommend this place to anyone! We had nothing but problems from the first 10 minutes we arrived. First off we went for the We-Fest karaoke contest, an event that had been booked there for at least 6+ months. So we arrive on July 4th, there website states the room prices and the discounted prices with a players... More

Caveat: I live in California with access to some really nice casinos so I'm a bit jaded. The casino has a good assortment of slots but many are very, very old, and the odds are rather tight. All in all, a reasonably fun place to visit when in Walker, Minnesota.

The 3 casinos are probably the worst around. The security personal at Northern Lights are top notch. But if your skin isn't the right color forget it you get nothing. The Palace is smokey and dirty. The last time I was there, there was a fight on the floor. Not a place to go.

Unfortunately they had a water main break and had no water just as our bus arrived. We had to be moved (but thankfully we had a wonderful stay at the Country Inn Walker) and shuttled back and forth.

Northern Lights is definitely the nicest of the three casinos owned and operated by the Leech lake Band of Ojibwe. While I am not much of a gambler, I will say it is beautiful, often offers really great entertainment, and the food and ambience (as well as value) at Dancing Fire restaurant, in the Northern Lights Hotel, is FANTASTIC!

Stopped by here a few times. It's a break. If you've been to a casino nothing will shock you here. Tons of slot machines, a smokey atmosphere, and free drinks. Nothing too exotic here.

The Northern Lights Casino is located about 2 miles south of Walker, Minnesota, about 3 hour north of the Twin Cities on Highway 371. The casino is easy to find as the entrance to the parking lot starts where highway 371 ends (371 takes a hard left at the casino). It’s in a good location if you are driving up... More

Okay...for the money for one room for the night of the 4th of July, reasonable is the word. Would we stay there again...NO. My husband asked me if I had cut my toe nails??? There on the carpet were clippings!! YUK...really? The staff must not even vacuum the rooms. The rest of the hotel complex was kept clean, however our... More
