Friends we were visiting in Eagle River, WI brought us here and it was just beautiful. You start out with a 1 hour presentation by one of the knowledgeable staff and they bring one of their eagles into the room as part of the presentation. After the presentation you get to stroll the center and see all the really interesting... More

Spent the afternoon here with grandkids. They were fascinated by the informational talk and could not stop talking about all the new facts about eagles they had learned. Also spent time on dock fishing with grandson (granddaughter did not want to try) for fish for the eagles. Have been in Wabasha many times, but never stopped at this center. Was... More

For a small town, this center is impressive. The location of the center is beautiful. They did a nice job with the exhibits. We liked the nest exhibit. You walk into a nest to get an idea of the size. The resident eagles are impressive. The scheduled informational talk was well done. You get to watch an eagle have a... More

I always have a great time at the National Eagle Center- great staff, great raptors, and a great view of wild eagle hotspots. At key times of the year, there can be more eagles than you can count hanging out nearby, in the trees, or along the river. I counted 46 eagles in a location not far away, this past... More

We spent 1 hour and 45 minutes here which was a little long. There are exhibits (not just of eagles, but of tree bark, animal pelts, etc.) which are very interactive. The boys liked the "Do you have an eagle eye?" simulator. We walked into the area where the eagles were perched and we watched them and asked the handler... More

I expected more eagle interaction and more outdoor opportunities, but the visit consisted mostly of a lecture and demo and then exhibits typical of a science museum. Our group had adults and children ranging in age from 1-17. Only the older cohort got much out of this center.
