We returned to the center two years after our first visit. We were surprised that many new and informative visits were added. And the class/show of an hour was excellent. We learned a lot more about this amazing bird. The center has a contemporary architecture and sits on the Mississippi River. It's located here because a confluence of bodies of... More

The injured resident birds, three bald eagles and a golden eagle, are magnificent and in a setting where a close view is possible. There was excellent individual interpretation by a staff member answering a wide range of questions from a small group of visitors. The location by the Mississippi in a rather nice small town with a little character also... More

The National Eagle Center is a wonderful place. They are doing important work educating the public about eagles and caring for their rescued eagles. Our presenter was very knowledgeable and it was fun to watch Angel rip into a Northern Pike for her lunch. This is a great place to visit for all ages.

The summer day was beautiful along the Mississippi River. Two friends and I had a leasurly drive to Wabahsa with a stop for breakfast in Redwing. We thoroughly enjoyed the class at the Eagle Center. We learned a lot about the eagles they take care of in the center. The volunteer woman was very well informed and friendly. It would... More

Absolutely a must if you are anywhere near Wabasha near the upper Mississippi River. Several live eagles that have been wounded and are cared for at the center. Watch a demonstration of feeding an eagle and then have the opportunity to stand next to one and have your picture taken by a member of your group. Nice selection of eagle... More

Be sure to make a trip to the National Eagle Center! You won't regret it! It was amazing to see the majestic eagles up close and learn about them and their habits. Each Eagle there has a story, and the center is a treasure chest of information about eagles and the area. It is located right on the Mississippi with... More

I strongly recommend visiting. It's a fascinating opportunity to see different species of eagle up close and to learn about them. It's both child friendly and adult friendly. The building itself is beautiful and the staff are friendly and kind. When I thought I lost something there, they were kind enough to follow up, check, and get back to me.... More

Well worth traveling to Wabasha to this. Also, would recommend a winter visit where you can see hundreds of bald eagles who winter there.

I was passing through and didn't even know about this place until I saw a sign and so I stopped. It's a very nice exhibit and there are several live, permanently injured eagles in residence ( on display sounds so awful). Take time to explore the center and learn about what they do; talk to the staff and really find... More

If you go, be sure the attend the educational program that is offered several times per day. The center has 5 eagles - they were injured and rehabilitated - but are no longer able to live in the wild. It was amazing to be able to stand so close to a creature that you usually only see from far away.... More
