We arrived at the center 30 minutes after opening on a Saturday. I am glad we did because it started getting packed by the time we were finishing up around noon. The live feeding was very fun and informational. Our presenter kept the kids engaged without boring the adults. If you want to good seats for the feeding, I would... More

We visited the National Eagle Center on a Saturday morning right at opening time or about 10 am. The adjacent parking is very limited with only 3 regular spaces and 3 handicapped spaces. However, there is plenty of parking one block away on the street and 2 blocks away in a public lot. There was no charge to park and... More

In winter this large, elegant national bird congregates around the Mississippi as the water continues to flow through the season and these fish eagles are able to continue to feed. The centre is highly educational and interactive. The birds are mainly rescued from accidents with cars or trains and are used in displays and talks to the public. We attended... More

Thank you for your review. We're pleased to hear you had a great visit and enjoyed Bucky's presentation! He does a great job presenting about the eagle's cultural significance. We strongly encourage you to try and catch a program with a different present next time if you are able. All of our presenters are excellent, but each program has a... More

We swung by here last May on our way home from Rochester. There is an admission fee to get inside the bulding, but it's pretty reasonable. Once inside, there's a lot more to do and see than you might expect from such a small building and grounds. There are exhibits, live demonstrations with eagles that reside there, a movie about... Thank you for your positive review of the National Eagle Center! As you said, there is certainly more than meets the eye once you walk through the front door. Our location is a point of pride - right on the banks of the Mississippi, we are fortunate to be where the eagles are and surrounded by beautiful landscape. Come again! More

We're glad you chose to visit Wabasha and the National Eagle Center. Winter is a wonderful time to visit and see a multitude of bald eagles along the Mississippi River, especially on a bright, sunny day! Thank you for the kind words and we hope to see you again in the future! More

Definitely do not miss the shows. Watching the Eagles have their meal is fascinating. The docent really knows her stuff and her talk is full of interesting anecdotes. Try the hands on exhibits and use the telescopes. We spotted and eagle downriver waiting for its dinner to surface. Great place.

The eagle center puts you into the world of Eagles. They have live Eagles. While there we attended an excellent discussion of Eagles with a fun speaker and a very cooperative eagle. The center includes lots of easy to access information about Eagles. And in winter you can see hundreds of eagle along the river in the area. I quit... More

The Eagle Center is filled with wonderful things to touch, hear, and learn about. They offer regular daily programs that are entertaining for a wide range of ages. Several eagles are in residence (that cannot be released back into the wild because of injuries) so you can get very close to them. There are field trips in the winter to... More

If you are lucky enough to be able to go to the Eagle Center, do not fail to attend one of their classes/shows. The young man who conducted ours was incredibly enjoyable and incredibly informative. He paid special attention to the children in the audience, engaging them in various ways throughout his presentation. Basically, he was terrific! There is also... More
