I expected more eagle interaction and more outdoor opportunities, but the visit consisted mostly of a lecture and demo and then exhibits typical of a science museum. Our group had adults and children ranging in age from 1-17. Only the older cohort got much out of this center.

This is a great place to visit and learn about eagles! A nice relaxing place along the river. It was newly updated and just a really nice place. They do shows daily and tell you about the eagles! Highly recommend, it is very worthwhile!

Great views of the river, excellent educational opportunities, and best of all--you can stand within feet of golden and bald eagles without cages or other obstructions. Amazing.

Lots of interesting exhibits. Educational talks every few hours. You are just a few feet away from the disabled eagles that cannot be released into the wild. There are scopes to look for eagles across the river, but you might want to bring your own binoculars. Entrance fee is only $6.00 and worth it! Parking is limited adjacent to the... More

This was my second trip here. Last time was years ago prior to the new facility. It is gorgeous as it overlooks the Mississippi River. Scenery is lovely. Setup of the two story center is wonderful with lots to learn. We made use of everything set up on the displays, videos to watch, the area of the majestic eagles with... More

We spent a recent Sunday afternoon at the National Eagle Center. Before entering the building, we got out our binoculars and scanned for eagles across the river. We saw three or four of them. They were really hard to see without the binoculars, so I would recommend bringing at least one pair along if you want to see eagles in... More

Amazing place. I loved being able to see and learn about the Eagle. The 1 hr talk was were it. The lady who did our talk was very informative. The only think would have been if I would have seen an Eagle in the wild.

This center is a wonderful stop through this area. We have never seen bald eagles up close much less from a distance. These birds are awesome. Glad to see that there is a place that will help these birds when they are ill or disabled. We were in awe. The program with Bucky was very informative. My teenage kids were... More
