Our family has a yearly tradition of stopping here when we go 'eagle watching' along the Mississippi River. The eagles have gathered at the open water near the Center and many other places that provide great views of our National bird in it's free and wild lifestyle.

We decided to take a little side trip from Rochester based on the reviews here. Glad we did. The museum is small, but attractive and well laid out. There are lots of interactive exhibits that would appeal to children. The Center had three live bald eagles and one golden eagle that had been rescued after being hit by vehicles. Staff... More

The eagle center was very interesting and in a beautiful spot. I loved the live eagle program/show. It was very educational.

Went there after buying discount coupons from KDWA radio. It was really worth the drive down highway 61 from the Twin Cities to get there. There were live eagle displayed. They have an eagle feeding at scheduled times. Space is limited so plan to go to the room early before the scheduled time so, you won't miss it. They say... More

Would definitely recommend seeing the National Eagle Center. We arrived on a Tuesday. Educational programs were running at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00pm. Worth your while to attend one of these. Very informative and great to see an eagle close up. Second floor is a great photo op with view of the Mississippi River. A must see when passing through Wabasha... More

My brother and I were on our way up to the twin cities area to visit my dad and I thought I would take a detour to see this place in the small town of Wabasha. It's located on the Mississippi River in a good sized building. For an 8 dollar admission for adults you get more than a museum,... More

Taking the scenic route MN 61 from Minneapolis to La Crosse, WI, we came across a sign for the National Eagle Center. On a whim, we stopped to check it out--and we are so glad we did! We arrived in time to attend the program featuring a volunteer with an adult eagle on her arm! The classroom setting provided an... More

My second time here, brought my cousin and his wife this time, they loved it, too! Highly recommend seeing the presentation held at 9, 11 , and 1pm.

It was amazing being so close to the eagles and being able to photograph them. It was a little exciting because there was a wild eagle soaring over the river and the center's eagles get worked up when they see them through the window and start calling out to warn the eagle away from "their" territory. At least, that is... More
