We tried a few times to locate the winery using the map on Trip Advisor. We never found it. The Trip Advisor map and directions kept taking us to Societa' Cooperativa La Spiga. The sign on the road called it Frantoio La Spiga. If you use Google Maps directly and enter the winery name, you get the correct location and... More

Our hostess was very well informed, and was generous with her time. The facility is comfortable, modern, and inviting. It was great visiting with my daughter, recent UC Davis grad in winemaking, as our hostess adjusted her discussion accordingly.

Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is located in the gorgeous countryside of Montalcino. Our guide, Nicoletta, was very gracious and informative. With her excellent English she explained the somewhat curious history of the vineyard and gave us a very detailed tour of the facility, including the penned-in area where the owner keeps his Czechoslovakian wolves. We were then led to a beautiful... More

Had a wonderful tour and tasted some great wines during our visit to Ciacci. Alessandra took great care of us and I would highly recommend a visit here to see some spectacular country and enjoy some really fine Italian wines!

Hearing the story of the family now running the estate made this tasting and visit all the more interesting. Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of Tuscany, and near the Sant'Antimo Abbey. The wines we tasted were all distinct in their differences, but all excellent, as was the olive oil. Gorgeous setting. Excellent narration... More

We stopped in on a stunning day this week and enjoyed a sampling of their wines, including their Favius (Syrah) Always good to see a vintner and grower experiment. Highly rated stop.

Great place to visit, taste wines, and ship some back home. We got a case of this wine, and had it shipped to us in NC. It arrived in perfect condition, with the winery checking in a couple of times to be sure we received it and were satisfied. This is a fun, well-maintained place that will show you a... More

We were to be in Tuscany for only a few days. We scheduled the Ciacci Piccolomini tour for a Monday morning. However, due to a scheduling mishap on our part, we missed the tour. I called the winery and they were fully booked the rest of the day. The following day was our trip to Rome. Because I collect this... More
