My wife and I toured this winery near Montalcino in July 2015. I arranged the tour by emailing the winery about a month in advance. Our tour was led by a vibrant and engaging young woman named Lucrezia Messina. There were four other people on our tour. We learned quite a bit about the process of making Brunello wine. The... Our visited confirmed the great ratings we found on Tripadvisor. It started already with the online reservation: we got a prompt and friendly reply, indicating options and prices. We got our visit confirmed within a day. We enjoyed a warm and friendly wlecome. We were shown around the production and storage facilities in about one hour. Our friendly host, Alessandra,... More

Excellent tour (thorough/easy to understand/helped us understand what is required to be a Brunello wine) and tasting at a reasonable cost.

We had a very nice tour and tasting at Piccolomini. It was informative and the wines are excellent. They are pouring the 2010 Brunello di Montalcino, which is one of the all time best vintages for Brunello (98 Wine Spectator). You can see the wolves if they're out. The only drawback to me was that we were charged for the... More

Our visit was fabulous! The tour was excellent, we learned a lot about the Ciacci-Piccolomini family story, the famous Sangiovese grapes and the climate they grow in, the wine making process and we saw their amazing vineyards. The wine tasting rooms were spectacular as was, of course, the wine! I'd recommend !

We were a group of six friends and visited the winery in May. The wine tour let us know the history of the family business and wine production processes. We also had a tasting of the wine with delicious meat and cheese there. It was wonderful experience. We would recommend it to all of you.

We had a fantastic experience at Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona vineyard. We were welcomed by Ester, who told us everything about her family business and the process of producing wine. We tasted five different types of red wines and olive oil. Everything was great! The products have excellent quality. Also, Ester is polite, friendly and attentive.

My husband and I joined two other couples for a tour of the grounds and cellars, followed by a tasting with a delicious meat and cheese board. Alessandra was a delightful hostess and we enjoyed hearing about the history of Ciacci Piccolomini and the wines. We learned that we should let our Brunellos breath for a couple of hours before...
