Pretty grounds, but very light on historical info. Honestly, the museum in town is much, much better, so do both museums. The grounds have a pilot house, a cottage, and the lighthouse

We stayed in the forest room of the bed and breakfast lighthouse in Two Harbors. We were the only guests on the grounds on Thursday night and it was truly a lovely experience. We were handed the keys and then the groundskeeper left for the night. We were allowed access up to the lighthouse at any time. The whole house... More

This would be very scenic if not for the high fence around the lighthouse. The view up the shore with waves crashing on the rock is good. The view across the harbor to the enormous ore loading docks is mesmerizing. The lighthouse museum/B&B/whatever-it-is was closed for the season which meant you cannot get on the grounds of the lighthouse. So... More

I stopped by to have some food here. There're some public tables and chairs for picnic. The lighthouse is quite small but the view is good. We need to hurry finish our dining because of the weather is cold and windy.

Good presentation of not just the history of the lighthouse, but of shipping on the Great Lakes in General. Interpretive displays are well designed and informative. The view of Lake Superior is amazing. Nice hiking trails around the property. Well worth a stop!

Pretty red color but grounds were closed. We walked down around the breakwater but we were not too impressed with the property. The Iron Ore loading docks across the harbor were huge and we would have loved to see a ship receiving its cargo. Nice visit but not worth a return to that area.

Didn't cost anything if you got coupon from library, but there is no tour guide. It is self guided. Located right by breakwall so plan time to walk out on that as well.
