What a lovely way to spend some time! A beautiful scenic boat ride, lots of information (historical and geological), and fun. I would recommend this trip for anyone.

This is not a major scenic ride or much of a historic attraction, but a nice, relaxing 80 minutes on the water. The most exciting part of the ride, in the low water of late summer, is when the boat travels through a shallow portion of the river about 18" deep. You can see clams and stuff on the bottom.... Went on this tour in july, it was okay. It had some great facts thrown out along the way, but a lot of awkward silences, the tour guide would spill some random facts, then be like "and with that, I will leave you to enjoy the scenery for about 5 minutes" , so there were a lot of awkward silences... We had an awesome night on the dinner cruise this past Saturday night! There was live music, Charlie O., and he was great to listen to and sing along with. Both my husband and I chose prime rib for our dinner choice and oh my gosh, that was delicious!!!! Mike, the captain, has been working for the boat tours since... More

We chose the Mexican Fiesta Friday evening tour/dinner. Very relaxing. Food was just OK, but what can you expect when you have to serve tacos, beans and rice on a moving vehicle without a kitchen. Klondike "Taco ice cream novelty" was actually a nice touch for dessert. I would say the value was good because we got 15% off by... More

We went on this boat when the weather was poor so I am sure that didn't help the experience. The paddleboat does an 80 minute tour the river. Pretty scenic as Taylor Falls is lots of rocks. The tour included looking at various rock formations to see if you could see what tour guide described. It was a leisurly ride... More

We took the 80 mintues boat ride/tour, it was a very nice and relaxing ride but after the first 15-30 minutes it was nothing exciting. I thought for a longer ride we would hear more about the river, beside the logging the river was known for I thought there might be additional info, but we heard nothing. Some interesting facts... We took a dinner cruise and it was a really fun and relaxing activity! We did a wine and cheese cruise featuring live entertainment. The river is gorgeous through that area and provides a beautiful backdrop. Dinner was served buffet style and was one of the best prime ribs I've ever had! We took some relatives visiting from out of... More

The pictures they advertise for the boat rides were beautiful, but only a tiny bit of the river actually looked like the pictures. It was a nice, relaxing ride, but we have a boat of our own, so we can take a ride like that anytime. The narration didn’t give much history of the area, and we couldn't visualize most... More

The scenery was great, the ride enjoyable. The only downside was getting to the boat. It had a very, very steep hill to go down to the boat. Anyone with a cane or wheelchair would never make it. That said, for the rest of the world, enjoy. We brought our own water aboard and no one cared. All people working... More

Barb, thank you for your comments. You are correct, the hill down to the boat is very steep. But if you let us know at the ticket stand where you purchased tickets that you had an elderly person or someone who needed some help, we woudl have been happy to provide a ride down to the gangplank. If you would... More
