Breathtaking winter beauty

Easy to find and a well marked trail leads you along the river. The ice formations were spectacular. Very worth while to include this hike if you are in the neighborhood.

Winter walk down to the Lake. The falls were completely covered with ice and snow. Park on the roadside pull-off and head either up the trail to the falls, or down to the second set and to the mouth at the Lake.

Great place for hiking! The river makes twists & turns as you hike up a small canyon. Nice campground also.

I visit Temperance River State Park every year. The views are simply amazing. Below the parking lot you'll find trails leading to scenic views and eventually the lake (only a 5-10 min. walk from the parking lot). Heading inland from the parking lot I have yet to find the end of the hiking trail (I believe it connects with the... More

North of Two Rivers on HWY 61, there are many unique natural features to impress. The Temperance River has a campground with some dream sights with views of Lake Superior and tree coverage. The hike starts at the lake where there are better than expected out houses and good views. Hike up over HWY 61 at the crosswalk, where parking... More

We spent some time taking an easy hike in the Temperance River Park. You can spend as little or as much time as you want. I would plan minimum of one hour. Very pretty.

More to see behind every turn, it just kept coming and getting better. We hiked both sides of the road and I wouldn't want to be stuck picking which one to do as they both are very different and beautiful.

Hiked to the falls and it was a lovely fall hike. Easy hiking trail and gorgeous views, all the way up. The smells of the pines were amazing.

Some of the waterfalls are a good climb. Try to do as much as you can the beauty is magnificent and worth it.

My boyfriend brought me on a trip all up the coast of Lake Superior on the Minnesota side and this was one of my very favorite stops. The best part is that it was last minute and unplanned. Everywhere you turn it's simply gorgeous. I had never seen another place like it. The paths are clear and there are plenty... More
