Lovely day, but can not recommend this course except if you don't care about a very slow round (on weekends) are looking for inexpensive green fees ($36 for Sunday 18, walking, more if you want a power cart). I do not know what the hype is all about... This golf course is way over rated & I was very disappointed. The front 9 is sparse, wide fairways & no real rough or groves/rows of tree. An old classic course in a great neighborhood, Highland is noted for being the course many of the area's young people learned the game, from Charles Schulz to Joe Mauer. Not a bad course, but the "National" in its name makes it out to be something special, it's not. Plus, if you play early like I like to , they remove all the flags on all the greens b/4 they mow any of the greens. So, it's sort of guess where the hole is when your shooting at the green.... More
