Great little stores and restaurants. Free Parking can be challenging, but there is a ramp on Victoria. Favorite places are Cafe Latte and Axels (go for early bird discounts at Axels.) and Bibolet shop. Winter can be chilly, but dress warm and walk fast.

Grand Avenue has to be part of a visit to St. Paul. I am originally from Minneapolis but it has nothing remotely similar to Grand Avenue St. Paul. On the west end are several private college campuses and a wonderful art supply store, Wet Paint, and heading east are apartments, specialty stores, gift shops, restaurants, galleries and more until you... We visited this area recently, after not having been there for some time. It remains an interesting area with some unusual shops and restaurants.

We came across this area because of a recommendation to eat at Punch Pizza. The shopping is great and tons of different restaurants to pick from. If I lived in the Minneapolis area I would love to live in this part of town.

Love hanging out down on Grand ave on warm, nice summer weekends. We go to Billys for a coctail and lunch or dinner, then stroll on down to Salut for a Mojito or two! There is shopping, resturants, music, people watching....

I would recommend driving the full length of Grand Avenue to see what there is. There is not a lot of ample parking, so would suggest parking at the only garage that I saw around over the Pottery Barn store and across from other shops. There is a mix of stores, businesses, apartment/condo buildings and tons of restaurants/pubs, coffee houses,... More

Grand Old Days is a yearly street festival with food and other vendors. It was very busy and the food choices just repeated themselves. It was like being at the state fair. There are many bars along this street but if you wanted a drink you had to but a $5.00 wrist band to have one and we did not... More

Other than walking around and window shopping there is not that much over here. Love look at the old houses on the way though. One place I would advise to try their desserts will be Caffee Latte - Sooooo Good

Spend a relaxing afternoon walking Grand Avenue. Start at Grand and Victoria with a yoga class. Take lunch at Caffe Latte or head down to Grand and Hamline for the spectacular and new Colossal Cafe. Walk a couple of blocks over and see historic Summit Ave.
