Grand Avenue is really a one-of-a-kind in the Twin Cities. It's a long stretch that includes assorted restaurants and shops. We like going to Emmett's Public House for Irish Pub Food or Dixie's for Southern/New Orleans style food, but also go to the hardware Store and to Penzey's for spices. Parking can be AWFUL, especially in the winter, but if... More

I would not suggest Grand Avenue as a place simply to go to and cruise or stroll. There are much more interesting neighborhoods and ones more pleasant to walk. As a destination in and of itself it doesn't make sense. If you are headed to a restaurant and it happens to be on this street, then there you are.

There are several shops, but mostly great places to eat or drink on Grand Ave. Definitely one of my favorite areas of St. Paul.

After viewing the nice houses, churches and synagogue on Summit Ave. you can drive over one block to Grand Avenue and tour block after block of interesting restaurants and retail and specialty shops. You'll find many reasonably priced restaurants serving varied cuisine and stores to meet all sorts of interests.

The Twin Cities really lack a nice streed good for walking, shopping or eating. Grand Ave. remedies that to an extent. It runs from Mississippi river to downtown St. Paul, so it;s quite long. There are several areas along grand that are dotted with restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops, grocery stores, etc. So it;s good to know on what part of... More

We love Grand Avenue! Some of the shops and restaurants are doggie friendly! Springs, Summers and Fall are our favorite doggie seasons on Grand!

Returned to St. Paul to visit family. Spent an afternoon with my younger sister exploring Grand Avenue. What a great way to reconnect and celebrate life. Dynamic shops, a great variety, but with a central theme of being there to accommodate. Well worth the time to wander and explore.

Grand Avenue is a nice street to walk along. There is another coffeehouse every few blocks. The street cuts through Macalester and St. Thomas campuses. And there are lots of restaurants along the way too.

Grand Avenue is a street with a mixture of local shops and restaurants, along with a few chain establishments. Because of the variety of one-of-a-kind shops and eateries it is unique within the Twin Cities. The shopping experience stretches a couple of miles and there is truly something for everyone. We stopped at Cafe Latte and were fortunate to find... More
