Though a bit smaller zoo, this is perfect, not overwhelming. Besides, it's the zoo Minnesota had first. Being that the zoo is there with the conservatory, they once had a tiny cage with bats in it. Ugh, you think, but not so! They were cute! (Besides, they eat bugs in our yards). They were the color of Siamese cats. For... More

We got there early because this place fills up fast ...zoo in need of some upkeep but they only rely on donations from people and other sources ..so please drop some money in the collection boxes ..it's labor day weekend and wow was there crowds ..como... the conservatory has a beautiful greenhouse flower garden, actually similar zoo and conservatory as others, but it's free, so it's a good activity for a family. And there is a Carousel nearby, too.

I have been to the twin cities for many years, and this was my first time to Como park. I was impressed by the available parking and the budget conscious will also like that admittance is by a suggested donation. The conservatory was a large one compared to the others I have seen, and the variety of plant life was... More

The Como Zoo, is a nice place to see as they have animals, gardens, pools. It's ok for adults but kids will really like this place, our grandkids are still talking about it. We spent about 2 hours walking around the animal exhibits, they went on to the gardens/rain forest which took about 1 hour, then we went to the... More

I've been going to Como Park since I was small and now have the fun of taking our grandchildren. They love it and take about the animals for weeks after we've been there.

I'm giving this a "very good" because I think it's a little better than average, but I'm not sure it really deserves the very good rating. The conservatory was very beautiful and the Japanese garden was very nice. The zoo, on the other hand, was dirty, crowded, and the animals had poor habitats. They all looked pretty sad. If you... Como Park has so many free things to do it's unbelievable, and the zoo and conservatory are the best parts. The zoo may not be as large as some, but there are a lot of animals and a cute sea lion show. The conservatory/arboretum has plants from all over the world that you can really get up close to, with... More

Stunning water lilies. What a surprise. I guess I only have gone here in the winter time. I've been back twice this month to photograph them. This is a don't miss destination and be sure to check out the Japanese Garden. Absolutely beautiful.

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is such a great place to spend a day! The zoo is the perfect size for kids (and adults too!) to see all the animals in a short time. The giraffes are in a tiny, tiny room most of the time and it's sad to see that but otherwise the exhibits are very nice. The... More
