I love the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. It is great for children and adults. The newest addition being the Japanese Garden outside which will be absolutely stunning when everything blooms. Como Park Zoo doesnt charge anything but just asks a small donation.

A jewel sits in the city of St. Paul. In my second trip to St. Paul a friend took me to the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. Not only is it free (donation suggested), but it's larger and provides more to see than zoos and conservatories in other large cities. Animals in the zoo setting reside in modern zoo settings.... The Como Park Conservatory now has a new facility to display their impressive bonsai tree collection both indoors and out. Look for the Design Your Own Bonsai wall which has three iPads which allow you to choose a virtual plant, trim it and grow it in a matter of minutes. Near this is a children's play table to move tiles,paths... More

What's not perfect about the zoo? Animals and people and wandering around ... And that indoor conservatory of whatever ... it's worth the trip.

The Como Park Conservatory is a wonderful collection of plants, trees, and flowers. They have special events and different focuses at different times. It's a very calm and beautiful place to walk around and forget the real world.

This place is great! Fun for both kids and grown ups alike. The conservatory is absolutely beautiful and the zoo had lots of great animals. It looked like there are also rides for kids, but they weren't running when I went. Highly recommend spending some time here when visiting St Paul.

Entrance into the zoo is donation based, so you can give as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. Given this, I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the exhibits! Animals were out and moving around, looking healthy and well taken care of. The flower room and edible plant room were... More

The spring flowers were breathtakinly beautiful. It is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon the aroma of spring in the air. If you need to decompress and just want to have a down time from the rush of the city. This is the place to unwind. Lovely!. The new Japanese Garden is open along with the Bonzi display. People... If you've never been to the conservatory, you have to go! The best time, in my opinion, is in the winter because you walk into a fully functioning garden, for lack of better term, where the humidity is high and you feel like its summer again! Tons of different species of plants/trees, goldfish/koi ponds.....a great place to bring the family.
