The walking path is wide enough that no one feels cramped while walking. The path leads to close views of the animals. The enclosed exhibts are well lite and the children are able to get very close to the animals. It is always clean and the animals are well cared for. The children especially love the zebra and the bears... More

The conservatory, the zoo, the amusement park, the gift shop & the carousel are all great! I LOVE the conservatory & botanical gardens. Lots of green space around the zoo to bbq & hold events such as family reunions or birthday parties. The zoo is better taken care of in the last decade than the previous, that's for sure. Good... We were welcomed from the moment we got there. Everyone there was so kind, and more than willing to answer questions. They even had a "checklist" of activities for the kiddos to do. They had to visit 5 different stations where they got to do different activities (art, physical, educational, etc.). At the end they were able to get a... More

Excellent new things here. An edible garden with great variety of things - startling black tomatoes, yes black tomatoes. Gorilla area now complete with a few gorillas who get pretty close to you. Polar bears now number two with two others in quarantine for a while. All the lions were lazily asleep but the tiger was marching around. Cougar and... More

This is a thrifty way to see some animals as there isn't an entrance fee to the park. They suggest a donation when you go through Como Town, but it isn't required. Fun to see the monkey house or walk around on a sunny day. I've been to Africa and never seen a giraffe run, but they were galloping in... More

I love Como Zoo, it is a small zoo but has awesome animals. I like that they are working to give the animals better living spaces, but some of them could still use some improvement! This is the only zoo in MN with large African animals and although I am not crazy about the indoor spaces for the giraffes and... More

The Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is a tremendous asset to St. Paul, providing a variety of experiences for all ages. The conservatory is attractive and educational. We especially enjoyed the Japanese garden outside. The zoo is fairly small. There's a small children's amusement park with rides.

a small one acre park is not going to make news ...but the quaint and beautifully designed Japanese park in Como was a real joy to visit . The plants were chosen with lots of care and planted in a very aesthetic manner ..each rock was spaced in a naturally aesthetic japanese style..beautifully maintained and spic and span ....it was... Went to the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory to see the flamingos which are gorgeous, but also had a great time wandering around the Conservatory. Very nice place to spend a few hours, seeing the animals, the plants and flowers, and shopping in the gift shop too!

We've gone to the Como Park Zoo for years - started when our kids were little 40 years ago and we've taken all our grand kids too. Can't say enough good things about this zoo! No cost to get in - free will donation. Simply the best - just go! Love everything about it - I'd give it a 10!... More
