This was one of my favorite places to visit when I lived in St. Paul. It's free, they just ask for a donation. Their primates exhibit is one of the best I have seen at a zoo. Great place to relax and learn a little. Como park has a walking path and fun paddle boats as well.

This local (for us) zoo is a great stop in the summer and the conservatory is a wonderful winter get-away in the winter. Don't miss the Japanese Garden in the summer.

I took my kids to the como zoo since they were small and now they are taking their kids there. It is clean, affordable and wonderfully maintained. Weekends can get really busy so plan ahead. The Conservatory is a great place to relax and look at the flowers. I actually was in a wedding there. Very small venue but lovely.

Como is a donation only zoo with great animals, easy to see and great for little ones in strollers. Memorial Day through Labor Day a stadium seating Seal show is the hit for all little ones and it's free, too. Plan to spend and least 2 hours for the zoo and 1 hour for the conservatory. It is great for... More

Como Zoo and Conservatory is a great destination for kids of all ages. In the winter, the conservatory provides a tropical escape. The Sunken Garden room changes regularly and always smells wonderful. It is the best deal in town-just a suggested donation of $3-$5 a person. In the summer, you can walk about through the Conservatory into the Japanese Gardens.... More

This 384 acre park in the northern area of Saint Paul is one of the most pleasant family, couples, or small group attractions in the metro area. There are excellent walking trails throughout the park, a small lake with walking path, partially enclosed auditorium for summer concerts, small amusement park for children, a water park with several slides, baseball/soccer fields,... Those of us in a wintry climate especially enjoy strolling through the "heaven on earth" Sunken Garden in the depths of winter. However, the Sunken Garden varies its display with the seasons. Be sure to check if the Sunken Garden is open and not in transition. Spring: tulips, hyacinths, lilies, pansies; Summer: roses, lilies; Fall: chrysantheums, asters; Winter: poinsettias. Children... Beautifully maintained, family friendly. There is no fee for entry but donations are gladly accepted. During the summer an awesome little "midway" with rides is a big hit. Sparky the seal show can't be missed!

The flowers in the sunken garden, the tropical plants and more in the conservatory are beautiful. The zoo has great exhibit halls for great apes, big cats, giraffes etc. Polar bears too. In the summer the have a seal show with Sparky. All of this is free but of course you would want to make a donation. In this park... More
