We have been to the Ordway numerous times for various events. For the past two years, we bought season tickets for the Minnesota Opera, which we truly enjoy. We have also gone to a St. Paul Chamber Orchestra concert and other traveling groups that have performed there that interest us. The venue is quite large, so it can accommodate a... More

It had been a while since I'd been to the Ordway. A friend and I saw "The Sound of Music" and had great seats (except for the railing). It's a great venue for live theater.

My wife and I have seen several productions at the Ordway and agree that it is the best theater in the Twin Cities. We have found the shows to be very high quality. More importantly, the theater is comfortable, the acoustics are great, and it is conveniently located. The Ordway is a true gem.

The SPCO performance of the Brandenburg Concertos in the Ordway Concert Hall was outstanding. The acoustics are amazing, I don't think there is a bad seat in the house! We were in the first row of the upper balcony. I love the harpsichord, so wish there was a way to project the sound from that a little better so it... More

I have now been to three productions at the the Ordway Center (A Christmas Story: The Musical, Damn Yankees, and The Sound of Music), and I have yet to be disappointed. The talent onstage and from the orchestra is simply amazing. The theater is a beautiful space with comfortable seating, and the staff has always been helpful and friendly. I... More

The SPCO is now in its new digs at the Ordway and anyone visiting the Twin Cities should make every effort to get tickets before they come. The chamber orchestra is so well integrated that you feel they intuitively know the moment for their own individual intervention. You really feel that it is a machine in which the parts are... More

Saw the Wizard of Oz from the balcony. Excellent view and very comfortable seats. We will definitely be back to see another performance soon.

Right in the middle of St. Paul, Minnesota (and next door to sister city Minneapolis), is one of the finest symphonic halls and performance centers in the world. The Ordway was recently renovated, and a 1100-seat hall was added just to serve the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, which itself is a Grammy-winning world leading orchestra. The acoustics in the hall... Pirates of Penzance was playful, fun, and an utter joy to see. The show was fantastic, carried by an impressive cast and top-notch orchestra. The humor and hijinks were a riot, with the Pirate King challenging the conductor to a sword/baton fight mid-musical. It was a performance true to the fun-loving spirit of a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. The Ordway... More

The worse the chairs. The lower priced seating has nice, comfortable, well cushiojed, wide-arm seats. The more costly seats are HORRIBLE! There are chairs rather than auditorium seating. The cushioning isn't and the arm chairs are rolled, narrow, maybe about 1" wide. One can't even rest their elbow on them. Think of a dining room chair and you know what... More
