I had no idea how popular this state fair was? Had heard for years how great it was and we stopped off this year to see. It was worse then Disney on Fourth of July. Wall to wall people would be an understatement. It was fun but didn't get to see much. They do not have a acceptable handicap situation.... More

By far one of the coolest things you will ever do. When the weather is right, this is the perfect way to spend a day or two. If you like animals, entertainment, parades, weird food, fair food, restaurant food, people watching, going on rides, learning cool stuff.......this fair is for you! There is a reason why this is one of... More

Go online to check out the "Non-Fair" events. There are a lot of events and things to do during other months of the year. Antique shows and car shows are our favorites. Especially mark your calendars for the 3rd week in June and 3rd week in July. Those are the BIG car shows. Lots of fun, food and cars! Va-rooooom!

I have been going to the Minnesota State Fair since I was a little kid--I have the best memories and while I visit all my old favorites each year, I also always discover something new! We have our traditions--the space needle to view the whole layout of the fair, the mini-donuts, the band shell, the DNR fish pond, the Ag... More

It is one of the largest state fairs in the US, conveniently located in St. Paul. Large selections of food vendors, interesting exhibits - many of them highly educational. Much educational information. Nice building for the arts (mostly paintings) with opportunity to buy. Variety of food. Good representation of racial & ethnic groups of the state.
