A Must

Not only the best State Fair, but the Fairgrounds have wonderful activities during the year. Transportation and parking really great. Recommend the vintage car shows. All good.

For the last few years I have bribed my kids not to go to The Fair. Don't judge, it's fattening, expensive and rides make me kind of sick. This year, they were savvy enough negotiators that the bribe became value negative so we went and brought my niece. We shared all the food we tried, but this is what we... More

Crowded (nothing unusual about a state fair) They could definitely use more space to cool off and just plain sit. I had to go to the First Aid station just to find a place to sit and cool. PLEASE make a consideration for this next year when planning! You have to fight for an open table at the food stations... More

We have never been disappointed with the Minnesota State Fair. One year I attended another state's fair and there just was no comparison! Something for everyone, almost anything you can think of to see and enjoy, great fair food, entertainment, sights and sounds. Fabulous people watching, too. You could easily attend twice a year to see everything. They've covered all... More

I have been in love with and at the fair for over 50 years. I drank all the milk I could drink & ate all the food I could hold. Many teen/20’s years I went every single day! I brought my 3 mo. old daughter twice that year. Now she's 30 and only recently quit the daily visit. She brought... More

LOVE the State Fair! It's the Great Minnesota Get Together!! From the original Ye Ole Mill boat ride to the shopping in the Grand Stand and the Bazaar to the Mini Donuts and deep fried Cheese Curds, and of course the Pronto Pups, and the people watching is phenomenal! Enjoy!!

After a 20+ year break, the past 5 years I have been traveling from Missouri to Minnesota for the State Fair. We get there when they open and usually stay 8-10 hours. There is something for everyone. Could not highly recommend enough!

There's just nothing like the Minnesota State Fair! It truly is the "great Minnesota Get-Together". There's no shortage of things to do and see here. The facilities and buildings are super nice and most importantly, the restroom facilities are good! Must-eats are the corn on the cob and Sweet Martha's cookies. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. And... More

We go the the fair every year. Throw out the diet, and try as many new foods as possible. You can share with your family and friends. There are so many things to see and do, you should make a whole day of it. Lots of people, very crowded, and can get very hot. So just be patient, be respectful,... More
