There's just nothing like the Minnesota State Fair! It truly is the "great Minnesota Get-Together". There's no shortage of things to do and see here. The facilities and buildings are super nice and most importantly, the restroom facilities are good! Must-eats are the corn on the cob and Sweet Martha's cookies. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. And... More

We go the the fair every year. Throw out the diet, and try as many new foods as possible. You can share with your family and friends. There are so many things to see and do, you should make a whole day of it. Lots of people, very crowded, and can get very hot. So just be patient, be respectful,... More

When the state Fair is running in late August, there's no place like it. Go early to beat the crowds or come late and hang out in the Midway after dark. Cows, horses, pigs, fish, vendors and tons of food options. Come hungry.

The Minnesota State Fairgrounds is located adjacent to the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota near the U's agricultural fields. During State Fair each year (nicknamed The Great Minnesota Get-Together) the area bustles with traffic, with bus and bicycle being two efficient ways to get to the fair. The fair is open the 12 days preceding and including... More

Enjoyable for the whole family. We spent a day here while traveling through. Nice cool temps (mid 80s) even in August. A nice break for this Texas family.

Our annual much anticipated visit to the Twin Cities! I love this car show-the best around. 11955 cars!! A really fun time. Had a canopy tent above the back of the Hot Rod and pulled out the cooler and our fun began. They have buildings with Arts & Crafts. With the same vendors annually. And new ones as well. So... More

Don't do the State Fair unless you are prepared for ALL OF THE PEOPLE. It is overwhelming and the concerts are not worth the cost of the ticket and the entrance for the fair. But the food options are amazing; get corn on the cob if you can!

Liked the new area that replaced Heritage Square.....very open. They seem to be trying to spread things out a bit more...seems more open and less claustrophobic.

This is one of the best state fairs in the country! Bathrooms are very clean, you are welcome to bring your own picnic or bottles of water with plenty of places to refill your water for free. I would highly suggest buying the blue ribbon coupon book because many of the food and beverage vendors are in there (plus merchandise)... More

So much fun! The fair grounds is a perfect place for this event! So many cool cars! Lots of the booths are open! We had cheese curds and mini doughnuts a good sampling of great fair food! I will go again next year!
