The showboat itself is a great part of the attraction. It is intimate, comfortable and visually pleasing with an historic feel. We saw talented actors who were also excellent musicians. I can hardly wait until we can make it back for another show. One concern: In the wintertime, access can be difficult for moderately or severely disabled people due to... More

A Groupon made this a steal. Fun to "boo and hiss" at the villians. Talented U of M theater students show their stuff and it's obvious that they are having a great time.

We try to get here every year to enjoy the vaudeville type theater put on by students and faculty of the U of M. It is always a good time! The theater itself is a bit dated, the refreshment offerings are limited, and parking can be confusing, but it is still worth it.

Went there last night to see their new show "Sweet Revenge." I bought tickets online, with drink 2-1 tickets. It was a great show. The staff were friendly, the venue was intimate and I forgot i was on a showboat. I like the little bit of history you learn through the song and dance routines. It was funny and they... More

The e-mail from Padelford@riverrides.com said it was the best kept secret in Twin Cities. It was true; we got senior prices plus online discount for the Showboat performance of Sweet Revenge. It was a fun show and at 10pm we had first class view of July 4th Fireworks from the deck. We saw the arty low bursts as well as... More

The dinner that was served was good and hot and the refreshments were good and cold. I liked that we had plenty of room to cuise around the boat. And the river was very interesting.

Pick a show you will enjoy and head down to see it on the showboat. The troupes that perform always do a solid, entertaining job!

I loved the show that we attended, but the concession service was poor, we arrived early and was greeted very nicely and told there was plenty of popcorn, we went to our seats put our things down went to the concession stand and ordered popcorn only to be told they were out of popcorn but they had chips and alcohol.... Always wondered what this boat and playhouse were all about. I had the best experience here. Sweeney Todd was the play and the acting was exceptional. It is not an luxuriously outfitted theater, but a fun and appealing place to take in a play and have some fun with friends. Highly entertaining....and you are on the river. That doesn't happen... What a great experience. Signed up for this last minute as optional entertainment for the conference I was attending. So glad I did! The food was great and there was plenty. Roast, potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls and cheese cake. Everything was delicious. But the best part was the show. We got to see "The Vampire". The actors were great... More
