We had some time to use up while waiting for a flight. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this museum. Lots of local displays were quite interesting. Wished they had a senior discount as it was a little high priced at $7.00 a person, I thought .

The Stearns History Museum will give you a half day of learning about the history of the area - the granite industry, the animal life, and other exhibits. There isn't a lot that changes here, so once you've been here, you pretty much know what you're going to see the next time you visit. In addition to the exhibits, there... More

Enjoyed looking at the local history. The Pandolfo car was pretty interesting, and the exhibits which focussed on homes in about the 1950's were great. Power on the prairie about the development of electricity was especially interesting.

This museum would be a good visit for those who have just moved to the are and want to understand the local culture. Also, those who would like to reminisce would enjoy the exhibits. My elementary aged children needed more interactive exhibits.

The Stearns History Museum is a predictable sort of place--not relative to other local historical societies but to itself. I've been here several times and it always seems the same. This year there were a couple new minor exhibits (e.g. SC's Remarkable Women and a Collection in Miniatures), but the building is dominated by the Exhibits on the Granite Industry... More

A fun family place to visit. Some of the exhibits get changed out and others are permanent. Good chance to learn about local history. Especially enjoyed the scavenger hunt for kids--grandkids had a lot of fun with it.

The Stearns History Museum is filled with so much history that many local people alone should absolutely visit to learn about the county they live in. If you are just passing through town though, be sure and make a stop here, too...There are beautiful paths outside with walking bridges and all kinds of birds, frogs, and other wildlife to spot... My wife and i were visiting St. Cloud, Minnesota to see friends. Being an avid history buff we naturally asked around for things to see. The Stern Museum was mentioned as a must see. We went to the museum paid $7 each (no Senior Admission) it was 3 PM, yet we were able to see most things by 5 PM... More

The place looked small from the outside, but it had a lot more in there than I would have imagined. I was skeptical, because lets face it, the smaller town museums are often a bit cheesy, but I really liked this place. The displays were well done and it was well maintained. I'll go back.

Museum was small. Coupons available in St. Cloud Magazine so made it worthwhile. Enjoyed the history of Granite Mining in the area and the history of Pan Automobiles.
