Well kept lawns, walking trails and attached golf course, but the memorial was nothing spectacular. Then again, Rochester is a small city and this is dedicated to local veterans. I am confused why a golf course is attached to a Memorial Park.

We saw this attraction mentioned on Trip Advisor and had the time to visit. It is an extremely moving memorial to soldiers in many wars in our history. From the memorial pavers to the statuary to the walls of the memorial itself, every part is a wonderful tribute. Take your time so you can see all the images and quotes... More

Very touching to know that the families of fallen soldiers took so much pride making this be a wonderful memorial to them. Very classy.

On a walk while visiting Rochester we came across Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial. What a moving experience! It is not dedicated to just one war, but many in our history. Highly recommend visiting.

My sister and I took our Vietnam veteran husbands here over Memorial Day Weekend. Very moving experience. Both started talking about what is was like when they first arrived and what they expected and what it was really like. This memorial is for all veterans of all wars with picture panels and information on each war with maps. Two other... More

This is a very well organized memorial with tributes to all war veterans. The pavers which were purchased by veterans or their families as a tribute to their service are very interesting to look at. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something to do in Rochester.

"Given that the vast majority of Americans have never heard a shot fired in anger, the imaginative presentation of military history is vital, lest rising generations have no sense of the sacrifices of which they are beneficiaries." George Will This memorial rivals those in the nation's major cities, including Washington, DC. That it was built without tax dollars in this... More
