Great architecture, great stories of a gifted mind, Dr. Plummer. Go for the house, stay for the gardens. Second best free attraction in Rochester, MN Take the Rochester Trolly to hear the stories.

A must see for all history buffs and those who appreciate classical American architecture. A little out of the way but worth the effort

One of my favorite places to take family photos. I have done all seasons here and each time the grounds are beautiful and clean. They do an amazing job keeping everything looking amazing. Numerous places to shoot the perfect pictures.

What a beautiful place in winter. If you want to go inside the house, you should go there on Wednesday.

Our dear photographer booked the Plummer House for our daughter's 1 year photo shoot. Going inside was the first time I had had the chance to see the building and boy was I impressed! The house was intricately designed by Dr. Plummer in the early 1900's who obviously had a great sense of style. It is wonderfully kept and a... More

The grounds are open to the public. They have lots of beautiful trees, plants, and flowers. I suggest taking the stairs to the lower grounds to see the water features. It's a nice place to take pictures. I have also attended a wedding reception there, and the inside is lovely.

The house is part of the Rochester Park & Rec department. It is not always open to tour best I know. However, if you are able to visit during a public event held at the house, it is a great place to tour and see some of the past history of the doctors who founded Mayo Clinic. If you visit... More

This building is an amazing, architectural gift! There is a small historical museum on the 3rd floor which is quite intriguing. The day we went, there was a volunteer there who gave us a guided tour explaining (quite well!) the history of the founders of Mayo clinic. The entire building has architecture to enjoy.
