Be careful when you ask your phone to find Silver Lake as it might do what mine did and direct you to a different one an hour a way. This one is just minutes away from St Mary's. We enjoyed renting bicycles and pedaling around the lake a few times. The lake attracts many Canadian Geese and ducks which are... More

There used to be 25,000 geese a year come to sit in the heated water (from the RPU plant) in the winter......now, you can rent canoes....paddle boats.......see a beautiful view of Rochester's skyline also.

After you've spent the day in doctors' appointments and tests, you'll probably need a place to go stretch your legs and decompress. Because it offers a flat, nearly two-mile loop, Silver Lake fills the bill very nicely. It ties in with the rest of Rochester's extensive foot and bike trail system, but if you need something longer, you could just... More

The park is OK, a little messy and no where near the number of geese and mallards that were here when I lived in Rochester as a kid. The geese still fight for the bread and still peck at your pant leg if you happen to be feeding the geese on the other side of you. They have improved the... More

Scenic paved path around a beautiful lake with plenty of Canada Goose to keep you entertained. In the summer you can rent electric paddle boats or bikes. Whenever I am home to visit family, I try to walk around Silver Lake to get some easy exercise in the middle of my travels.

Small quiet lake with no wake, no rapids, no powerboats. Kayak rental is $10.00/hour, or $30.00 for an entire day. They also rent bikes, paddle boats and dune buggies. Great staff.

How lovely to leave a busy day at Mayo Clinic, and just walk around the lake!! Rochester is FULL of walking paths, biking paths, canoe/paddle boat/bike rentals, and MILES of places to walk!! We got out for a nice walk every day of our two-week stay, and were so delighted. Lots of benches to sit, pagodas, pavilions, picnic tables. Many... More

This is a popular after work gathering place for both families and couples. Kids like all the geese here. The path is 1.8 miles and well maintained. The park also has canoe and bike rentals. Great place to go for a walk after dinner.

Really pretty spot, and it would be a wonderful place when the snow melts. We walked a bit, and saw many runners on the paths. It was windy and cold the day we were there, so our walk was short. While the sidewalks were mostly clear, the benches were covered in snow, so if you want a resting spot, this... More

Great place to go for a walk, jog, run, bicycle or roller blade. There's a huge playground across the street that my kids love. Lots of geese so watch where you step!
