Great place to go for a walk, jog, run, bicycle or roller blade. There's a huge playground across the street that my kids love. Lots of geese so watch where you step!

Walking from downtown Rochester to the lake is very refreshing and beautiful scenery, first you walk along the river and then the lake with hundreds of geese to enjoy. The walk is about a mile and you can come back on the city bus.

Almost 2 mile trail around the lake with great views of downtown, thousands of geese during winter, and picnic areas.

The old Silver Lake was a cesspool. With the Corps of Engineers flood control and removal of old appliances in the water, and management of the geese, the park has had a resurgence. It always had a cliental with it location to the municipal pool and family friendly picnic sites. It is now cleaner and more environmently friendly.

Pretty lake right in the city where you can walk, bike, picnic. They have rentals in the summer to boat or bike around the lake. There are lots of beautiful Canadian Geese, however, watch your step!!

If you know of anyone who grew up feeding ducks, this is the place to reminisce - with many friendly gees and ducks eager to take a piece of bread or other appropriate food.

Silver Lake is a great place to walk around and relax. Safe neighborhood to be in. Stop and feed the ducks and geese. Rent a little boat and paddle around the lake. Very close to downtown Rochester for clinic visitors to get away from the downtown sceen!

The serenity of the lake is wonderful. There are walking paths around and through the park. The local Canadian geese are fun to watch and it is easy to get to....right downtown.
