Scenic paved path around a beautiful lake with plenty of Canada Goose to keep you entertained. In the summer you can rent electric paddle boats or bikes. Whenever I am home to visit family, I try to walk around Silver Lake to get some easy exercise in the middle of my travels.

Small quiet lake with no wake, no rapids, no powerboats. Kayak rental is $10.00/hour, or $30.00 for an entire day. They also rent bikes, paddle boats and dune buggies. Great staff.

How lovely to leave a busy day at Mayo Clinic, and just walk around the lake!! Rochester is FULL of walking paths, biking paths, canoe/paddle boat/bike rentals, and MILES of places to walk!! We got out for a nice walk every day of our two-week stay, and were so delighted. Lots of benches to sit, pagodas, pavilions, picnic tables. Many... More

This is a popular after work gathering place for both families and couples. Kids like all the geese here. The path is 1.8 miles and well maintained. The park also has canoe and bike rentals. Great place to go for a walk after dinner.

Really pretty spot, and it would be a wonderful place when the snow melts. We walked a bit, and saw many runners on the paths. It was windy and cold the day we were there, so our walk was short. While the sidewalks were mostly clear, the benches were covered in snow, so if you want a resting spot, this... More

Great place to go for a walk, jog, run, bicycle or roller blade. There's a huge playground across the street that my kids love. Lots of geese so watch where you step!

Walking from downtown Rochester to the lake is very refreshing and beautiful scenery, first you walk along the river and then the lake with hundreds of geese to enjoy. The walk is about a mile and you can come back on the city bus.

Almost 2 mile trail around the lake with great views of downtown, thousands of geese during winter, and picnic areas.

The old Silver Lake was a cesspool. With the Corps of Engineers flood control and removal of old appliances in the water, and management of the geese, the park has had a resurgence. It always had a cliental with it location to the municipal pool and family friendly picnic sites. It is now cleaner and more environmently friendly.

Pretty lake right in the city where you can walk, bike, picnic. They have rentals in the summer to boat or bike around the lake. There are lots of beautiful Canadian Geese, however, watch your step!!
