I am so glad we came on a free day. Only a few pieces in the entire facility, and they were strange. Not sure how they stay open. Either that or we caught them on a day when they were changing out all their art.

We visited this museum and they were so informative and the art is great. The man there helped us with museums to see in Minneapolis also.

A nicely done modern art museum, a good place to spend time while you are in Rochester. The building is modern and interesting, although stuck like a carbuncle onto the Civic Center. It has nice views of the river. The show was interesting.

The art center had a very nice selection of art on display w/out being overwhelming.

The art exhibits were varied enough there was something for everyone. Thursday is a good value because it's free to see the exhibits. It was a nice venue for our daughters wedding reception. I love to visit the Rochester Art Center. The exhibitions are always changing and there are so many fun events to attend. You will experience something that makes you think, feel and get inspired. If you have an opportunity to visit - do it! The shop has nice stuff, too!
