Beautiful spring flowers are out on the wooded trails now. When they fade, the summer flowers on the prairie will be blooming, then fall leaves will create interesting views. Check out the pioneer cemetary and do some trout fishing in the river, or go birdwatching or geocatching. You can check out equipment for all of these activites at the park... More

We visited the state park just when the leaves were changing. We walked to the lookout point and found the trail moderately easy to negotiate, though one had to avoid stepping on the big nuts that had fallen from the trees and the horse plops.
