French Regional Park has something for everybody: short, paved hiking trails for the leisure walkers and longer, unpaved ones for the real-deal hikers-- all with good views. While you don't get to walk around the lake like in Lakes Calhoun and Harriet, it is wonderful to go through the woods, visit the marsh and end up in the beach area... More

French park is a great area park with open spaces, as well as many walking paths through trees and along the lake. It's a great place for a picnic in the summer, or just to get out of the hustle and bustle during the day!

French Regional Park is a great place to hike, cross-country ski, or explore via kayak and canoe. We go there year round. There is also an excellent large playground with lots of things for kids to climb. Most recently we went there for a fall hike.

There is a large sledding hill across from the main building. It's super fun for the kids. The first time down was kind of scary, as it is a large hill, but the kids loved it! The kids (and adults) get a good workout, since they have to climb back up the hill each time. We like to come here... More

Spent a full day here for a work retreat, using the outstanding meeting room on the upper level of the main building. Room has comfortable furnishings, a fireplace, and kitchenette. Terrific views of forested surroundings. The park building is otherwise small, but comfortable for a break from activities. Over 14 miles of hiking and skiing trails; I sampled several miles... More

I've been to the park 4 times so far with friends and family. At all occasions, the grass was cut and the play area clean.
