This is the location that my daughter and her group choose to take the pictures before one of their formal high school dances. It is a peaceful spot with some paved walking trails, a small bridge and a parking lot. There was only a porta potty for facilities. The flowers and grounds were beautiful. Worth a quick stop.

This is always a great choice of public parkspace to spend some time. Although it may not be a huge space...it is a truly lovely one. This visit was a Wednesday morning in late July. The park was nowhere near crowded...quite peaceful...as the name implies. =] There were several volunteers cheerfully working away on some of the locations. The grounds... More

This is one of the nice features on the north side of Lake Harriet. Keep in mind it's a rock garden (plants that tend to like cool weather), so much of it blooms in the spring. I live close by so my wife and I make our way around all of the gardens by Calhoun and Harriet. They are all well kept and maintained. Lots of wedding parties make there way here.

if you want to escape the joggers, bikes and rollerbladers this is the best place to go. Find a rock and sit down- or if you wish there are many hidden benches in the shade. Be aware of Saturday wedding photo crowds which can over run the place very quickly.
