What a gorgeous final resting place for the elite of Minnesota. The headstones and monuments were fantastic. HHH gravesite was very understated compared to some of the other notables that are buried there. The grounds are immaculate.

Before you go, check out this lovely, architecturally significant and beautiful site. There are few cemeteries that I recommend for a wander....the First Cemetery of Athens is the other. Don't miss the chapel, a miniature of Agia Sophia from Constantinople cum Istanbul!

I never would have thought driving through a cemetery would be of interest. But, I was wrong and had a delightful time visiting the Lakewood Cemetery. The beauty (flowers & headstones) are amazing. It is a delightful place to visit. Kids might be bored though!

But it's still a fine place to visit. Beautiful setting for a history lesson on Minneapolis families. The mosaics in the chapel are lovely. Don't miss the 21st-century mausoleum--one of the best modern buildings in the city.

Beautiful place to go if you are not there for business. It's a lovely place to ride through on a bike. Still beautiful if you are there for a funeral, but that always a downer on a funeral day.

I had almost forgotten about this place until I revisited and was overwhelmed by the beauty of the chapel and its Byzantine mosaic art. I felt transported to the ethereal beauty of the heavens. I suspect this is what was desired to be evoked by the artistry and overall design. This is a rare gem not to be missed.

a beautiful cemetery, my grandmother is buried here. Love to drive through in the fall and after a snow. Calm and peaceful, not sure on if they allow biking or jogging - some frown on that.

I know it sounds weird to review this. This is not just a cemetery is park like and very majestic. Take a minute and enjoy the sanctuary, reflecting pond and lake. It's beautiful and very relaxing. It's a hidden gem.
