Well planned event

POND HOCKEY was a grand well planned event. Refreshments, safety, fun...all good. Nokomis neighbors and people from all parts of U.S. played and watched.

Lake Nokomis is a great place to take a walk while watching airplanes at the same time. I came across the lake on accident and was quite pleased with the discovery. A paved path wraps around the 2.7 mile perimeter of the lake. I enjoyed a quiet walk on a fall evening with friends with a few other walkers and... More

It aS about $20 per and we had a blast. The gave a US some quick tips and we were off. This was a first for us and we had a fine time. They also have canoes and kayaks too. We also saw log rolling training.

The lake is great for many activities! Paddling and swimming are popular in the summer and the paved trails are great for a warm weather stroll - be it walking, biking, rollerblading or skating! In the winter, the lake freezes over and the US Pond Hockey Championship brings hockey players from all around. I have played in the USPHC a... More

We rented their bikes to ride around the lake and it was fun! Next time we will bring our own bikes and a picnic lunch. Very comfortable and a great beach if you want to go swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, etc. We paid for the parking and it was easy to do.

The serpentine walking and bike trail by the side of the lake makes it a nice place to roam around. Bridges over the connecting narrow channel between lake Nokomis and Hiawatha are really nice.

If you're going out for the US Pond Hockey Championship, you're in luck. It's incredible. As an east coast kid not able to play/skate on many ponds, this was a treat. The park was awesome itself, but the environment was fantastic too. Go whenever, lots of trails around the lake, pets seemed to love it.

The visit to the John Stephen's House, walk down to the Misssissippi River, viewing the roaring falls, strolling the Park area, and remembering Ard Godfry's mill and homestead area all made for a wonderful afternoon. Well worth the parking fee. Will visit again on future trips.

In their wisdom, the Park separated trails for pedestrians and bicyclists, so pedestrians need not fear being run down. The walk around Nokomis my wife and I take is a little under 3 miles, and includes lots of entertainment, as well as spectacular views of a really pretty lake. The park provides a ferry service to the dozen or so... More

I have been here a few times and its a nice quiet place, not as busy as Lake Calhoun, but very nice. There is a path to bike/walk/run . I like how clean the water is, its nice for swimming. The beach is a decent size with food and drinks. I believe you have to pay to park in the... More
