Visiting here was truly lovely. I was lucky to catch several free concerts and shows, they even did an outdoor movie. The Lake as the back drop was simply perfect and the many ducks that you could feed as they swam around was so quaint.

A picnic spread on a blanket listening to the Minneapolis Pops was a perfect evening. Linden Hills is fortunate to have the band shell and music being offered free to the public. The band shell, lake and venue are well-kept and clean. Food is available for purchase and bathroom facilities are also available. Enjoy your summer with family and friends... More

The free concerts and movie nights at the Band Shell are always fun (and very, very crowded) on a lovely summer night. Good food options as well. Be prepared to show up early for a show or movie to get a good seat!

There are a wide variety of concerts available throughout much of the year. Many are very talented soloists or groups. Be prepared for casual and delightful concert. Bring your own chair and come early for good seating and nearby parking.

The Lake Harriet Band Shell area is a great place to bring family and friends for a walk around the lake or through the bird sanctuary, to have a picnic or to see outdoor music or a movie. There is ample seating in front of the Band Shell, activities by the lake, a playground and lots of free parking around... More

This band shell has some great music with many different styles played. It's so nice to go there in the Summertime evenings es- pecially. I really like to relax at this place after dinner.

Beautiful lake, easily accessible by bus or Nice Ride (bike) from most points in Minneapolis. Watch the sailboats, or rent a canoe or paddleboat. Free concerts nightly from Memorial day til Labor day. A nice 3 mile walk around the lake. Food is available at Bread & Pickle at the bandshell. This review would get a 5 if the food... More

Wonderful place in the summer evenings to catch free concerts and movies back-to-back. And having the luxury of an awesome jungle gym and ice cream shop on-site does wonders to keep kids preoccupied as well.

The bandshell is a Minneapolis icon, and there's a wide variety of entertainment throughout the summer - movies, bands, folk singing. We went on my birthday with the dog to enjoy Bread and Pickle and watch a band. A lovely, relaxed evening.

I can't make it through a month from April through November without walking around Lake Harriet, and letting the kids run around the band shell. Take the kids to Sebastion Joe's in Lyndon Hills for some of the best homemade ice cream that you have ever tasted while you are at it. It is always worth a stop at the... More
