Free concerts every night in the summer, what's not to like? Beautiful views, there is a snack bar close by and a playground there as well.

nice pretty walking paths, the concerts are generally fun and relaxing, good place to spend a nice day with the family. parking can be a nightmare, but the beautiful lake and paths are worth the walks

Once I walked by and it looks like some people were rockin out. Performance was audible and if I had liked the music I woulda stayed.

My band plays here every summer. It is a wonderful venue and the concerts are always well attended. They have concessions when there are events. They also have open air "bike-in" church services on Sundays in the summer. My only complaint is that the bathrooms aren't always open!

One of my earliest and loveliest experiences in Minneapolis was sitting on the grass in the late afternoon of a summer's day, listening to music with a view in the background of Lake Harriet dotted with sailboats. The bandshell itself is like a little castle. It's a memorable spot.

This is a neighborhood treasure with free concerts through summer. The schedule can be downloaded from the parks and rec website. Parking may seem tough but it's not inconvenient in the summer to walk a few blocks. Another option is to ride your bike to this place.

My bicycle group often stops here when we ride around the lakes. It is a beautiful location and has a great snack bar. Restrooms are very clean!

The band shell is a nice place to watch performers in the summer time. Parking can be tough but its worth the hassle for a peaceful night by the lake. Minneapolis does free shows throughout the summer.

We stopped here on our Grandf Rounds drive and loved the band shell and seating arrangement. Would love to go back when there is a performance of some kind. The area, in general, is nice but certainly this band shell is a standout.

The Band Shell has all types of entertainment - orchestras, bands, church services. You can either sit in the provided seats, stretch out on a blanket, or watch from the comfort of your canoe. (A little harder to hear in your canoe as the music faces the other direction and there is a barrier -it depends on who's playing). A... More
