Quiet little gem

What a great spot isolated but yet just minutes from downtown Mpls. Lovely gardens, interputive center and just a nice spot to enjoy the morning or afternoon.

Visited late September, so we missed the spring wildflowers. There were still some to see, but I can only imagine it in the best time of year. Very beautiful walk and very peaceful.

Lots of birds and squirells. Everything is so peaceful and natural. Great escape from the routine. And the flowers smell...

The wild flower garden is a great place to just walk and take it all in. There were plenty of flowers and the trails are manageable for all fitness levels. Very serene and just a nice place to walk, think, and enjoy.

I love wildflowers but didn't expect much to be blooming toward the end of July, but there were lots of flowers blooming and the hiking through the woods was very peaceful.

Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden is a nice 15-acre "garden" that takes you to a different world. Inside the park, we couldn't see any trace of Minneapolis other the wooded trails, wild plants, flowers, birds, ponds, meadow, bog….and mosquitos. I can imagine the garden is a heaven of bird-watchers and botanists. And as a matter of fact, this is the heaven... More

My husband made a list of attractions and mistakenly wrote "Eloise butterfly garden." We hadn't ever been to a butterfly garden so we wanted to check it out. Although we realized quickly that he mis wrote butterfly for the word Butler, we loved the park. The trails were wooded and awesome. It has been raining a lot so so e... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our morning here walking through all the plants, trees, and all the birds. Coming from Florida we enjoyed the green everywhere and the temperatures were cool. It was still a little muddy in the lower areas but we managed. We saw turkeys, chipmunks, squirrels, birds, butterflies, etc. The flowers and all the birds made for a great... More

I went yesterday, trying to see the ladyslippers that were supposedly blooming. However, the trails at the lowest points were complete mud, so there was no way I could get through to the areas that were stated as the best spots, so... I saw nothing. The trails in that area are heavily wooded and very narrow, forcing any group to... More

Saw lots of goldfinches, cardinals, woodpeckers, and even some turkeys. Kind of strict about staying on the trail. Ranger gal comes bustling by, we step aside to get out of her way and she says "STAY ON THE TRAIL".
