Went to see the Impractical Jokers comedy troupe The Tenderloins. Beautiful old theater. Had front row seats but they added a little barrier in front us and made two more rows for VIP ticket holders, I guess. Had a fun show!

We went to hear Jim Gaffigan, the comedian. Gorgeous theatre, nice facilities, & good show. Unfortunately, we had balcony seats - row s - and couldn't see much. Fortunately, we could hear well - not much you need to see with a stand up comedian !!

This is a beautiful old theater. But just coming from seeing Ringo Starr there on Friday night, I felt I had to review it. The audience, which did consist mainly of the over 50 age crowd, was rude and pushed people unnecessarily . I found it odd people that age would be so nasty. About 99% of the crowd stood... More

We saw a concert here a few weeks ago and, having been to the State Theatre previously, we expected a great time. The entertainment was fabulous, the theater staff were wonderful, the audience was one of the rudest I've ever encountered. Due to the fact that alcohol is served throughout the concert, people were constantly needing us to get up... More

There is not a bad seat in this gorgeous theater. It is my favorite spot in The Cities to catch a show. It has slightly over 2,000 seats but none are far from the stage; it is pure architectural genius in every way. My favorite show so far was the brilliant Sarah McLachlan. She was wonderful and relatable. Her music... More

The staff was outstanding and helpful, and the second floor bar was a hidden gem! Every seat is a GREAT seat, the interior decor is luscious and the acoustics are superb. We've enjoyed every event that we've attended here.

The State Theatre is the perfect venue for a Broadway show. I saw the musical Once and the sound was pure perfection. The State is a smaller venue compared to some, so there really is no bad seat in the house. Yet there is no feeling cramped either. The theatre has been beautifully restored. There is parking right around the... More

Great Concert venue, have gone many times for various artists over the years, as it it is in my Minnesota backyard.

Been in shows in the front of the pit, the middle and both sides of balcony. While the venue is beautiful and a historic gem, the theater needs a sound makeover. There are no speakers above the stage level. I have left in the middle to shows by top artists due to sound. Also, the curfew is not conducive to... More

This is a wonderfully restored theater in downtown Minneapolis. You can throw a rock and hit 15 bars and restaurants in a nice part of downtown. I am a 350 lb man and the seats were comfortable. This was a great experience from start to finish. The only thing I didn't love was $9 beers and $12 mixed drinks.
