Beautiful Basilica. Know that there is a lot of production involved in Sunday mass here and you should probably allow about 1 1/2 hours for mass, rather than the typical 1 hour.

We were stunned when we moved to the Twin Cities and realized what a gift the Basilica and the Cathedral of St. Paul are, both for architecture and for spiritual nourishment. We are Catholic but recommend a visit even for those who are not!!! So gorgeous and inspiring!

This is a beautiful basilica! Be sure to walk around outside, too. There's a cute little garden on the west side, but you have to find it. This Holy Catholic Church represents the ultimate in architecture and attention to detail of 200 years past. Be sure to take the tour to learn the most about how and why.

I agree with others who said the Basilica is a very imposing structure from the outside, on the inside it is reminiscent of cathedrals I saw in Europe. Stained glass was beautiful. Very peaceful to sit and soak it in for a while. Well worth a visit.

Imposing structure, magnificent stained glass windows. Parking is limited to side lot for a fee. Docent tours provided after masses.

Traveled here by bike from the art museum. Beautiful. Did not take the tour, just walked through. Have only been to one other basilica in Asheville, NC
