While we were in Mnpls, recently, it was unseasonably humid. When we were in Mnpls in January, it was unseasonably cold. Therefore, the skyway system is the best in the nation and can be used from one end of the city to the other. It is clean and safe, too.

Great way to pass one building to another without going outside. . The city is so cold especially in winter time and it really helps people to look around..

had to walk from the Hyatt to the Convention center with a large parcel, using the skywalk protected me from the wind and assured that I arrived at the right place. City planners did a nice job planning to protect folks from the elements with this Skyway system.

Because of the harsh winters in Minnesota, just crossing the street can require heavy clothing and courage. Do what the locals do and leave your coat in your room - travel by Skyway. This is a walking system that allows you to travel through most of downtown Minneapolis without setting foot outside. Almost all hotels, banks, restaurants and major building... More

If you know what you are doing, or have a map, this is a terrific way to get around downtown without going outside. Absolutely essential, when the weather is bad (and this is Minnesota, so winters are long and nasty.)

We were in town for 5 days for meetings. The skywalks are great to move from place to place even when the weather is nice. There is plenty of signage to make sure you are going in the right direction but I really liked this feature of the downtown.

I've worked downtown Minneapolis for 20 yrs. and love the skyway system to get anywhere quickly. Winter weather and summer storms keep you warm and dry. It's sometimes faster to walk the skyway instead of the street where you have to stop for traffic lights. LOVE our city skyway system.

Good way to explore without walking on noisy streets. Was able to get a good view of which businesses were around me.

The temperature on the street was 80+\- We thought it would be cooler using the Skyway. Maybe they turn on the AC during the week, but apparently not on Sunday. Also, the merchants take Sunday off so nothing was open. I remember how convenient the Skyway was during the winter on weekdays. If you want to escape the heat on... More

I would have liked to see more maps throughout the system so I could get a feel for where I was or where I was heading . . . with major landmarks on the map and "you are here" arrows.
