Make sure you take a dry run using the skyway system if you need to be somewhere for a certain time. It is not necessarily a direct route using the skyway. It was great to be able to walk from my hotel downtown to the convention center without a coat, but the trade-off was an additional 10 minutes of travel... More

It was so nice to be able to get around Minneapolis in the sky walks. Even though it was raining, I left my jacket in my hotel room and was able to navigate to anywhere I needed to go in the skyways. Coming from Alaska, I really appreciated this and wish Anchorage had the same!!

I was in Minneapolis for a conference being held at the convention center and was looking forward to using the Skyway. Then I was handed this maze of a map by the hotel clerk and knew I was in for an unwelcome adventure. The signage is very poor. There is no reason why clearer arrows and building names cannot be... It's an amazing way to hide from the snow and havy winter! I loved it! It's a little confusing, but you can get maps and follow them.

I don't know the system! I loved the hustle and bustle of all the downtown workers getting through that maze to get their lunch carryouts. They had so many choices to go to while staying warm and dry inside. I looked at posted maps several times and still was confused as to where we should turn to get to our... More

What a maze this was. The advantage was that it was a very cold day and it was a way to stay indoors. But it was very easy to not know where you are going. It was interesting tho.

THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO GET AROUND ON BELOW ZERO DAYS, RAINY ONES OR JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T WISH TO CARRY A COAT. But be aware that there are new rules in effect and plan on a cab AFTER 10 PM if you are a ways away from your hotel because it is CLOSED EARLY AND LOCKED UP now... More

I like the skyway, I really do. But as a recent transplant to Minneapolis, I do find it confusing to navigate. I ranked it high because of the cool concept, shops, restaurants and services within the skyway. Love that my new office building downtown is linked to so many shops and places to grab lunch.

I am so thankful for this system! While on an anniversary trip with my husband, I woke up with an incredibly sore throat. The concierge at our hotel gave us directions through the skyway system so that we could get to the health clinic at Target and I could get a strep throat test. I was so thankful to not... More

The idea of traveling from building to building while not going outside is quite intriguing. It was convenient to my hotel and since there were some seedy parts nearby, using the Skyway was used to skip that part. I wouldn't want to be in a rush, because it is easy to get lost especially since Minneapolis's street grid can be... More
