The most incredible skywalk that will take you to different parts of the area of dinning and shopping without going outside.

Best way to get around the downtown area. Connects many hotels and parking with Target, restaurants, Macy's, etc. Most convenient thing I've ever seen.

Great idea as you can get just about anywhere downtown via the skyway. However, as a visitor to the city you can easily get lost.

Let's face it, winters in MN are terrible and summers are miserable. The best way around it is the Skyway System in downtown Minneapolis. There are handy maps almost every where. If you get hungry or thirsty, there are plentiful skyway restaurants conveniently located.

I enjoyed the sky walk system it was clean and there were lots of cameras for security. There are some awesome shops along the way and what I also liked was it connected up to target field and the train just a heads up don't stay out to late there is a lot of riff raff running around after dark

We were not impressed by the skyway system. It may get you around town a way of keeping out of the heat of the day in summer or keeping warm in the winter months and gets you about quicker than out on the streets, but it spoils the street life and street side shops. All the shops close around about 2.30... More

I was visiting Minneapolis for a conference in the end of July 2015. When I was walking on the street, I was not so impressed by the downtown Minneapolis because. I was wrong to judge the downtown without visiting the Skyway. The Skyway system is very interesting system. The Skyway offers everything from souvenir shops to nice restaurants. Also it... More

Sure they wrecked the street life of Minneapolis by taking traffic off the sidewalks and sending the mom and pop shops up to the second floor. On the other hand, they keep you from freezing on a cold day in January.

we did this on a Sunday and entered thru Hilton, extremely hard to access. Pretty hopeless directions and lack of maps. Still a good accomplishment. Dark in places
