This is a great area to bike, roller skate, walk, or use any other manner of conveyance. You have a wide variety of scenery and get some good exercise too. What could be better?

This bicycle trail has everything - lakes, river, downtown, etc. There is one section that takes you off a paved bicycle trail - stop, rest, shop, eat, and then gat back on the bike. Very few hills by the way; this is an easy trip.

A shining light of parks, lakes and biking paths. Rent a bike in the summer or fall and take the time to check out the pathe many paths. Great way to see the city

The grand rounds circles through the Minneapolis parks and parkways. it provides excellent opportunities for walking, hiking or taking a leisurely drive. You have many different venues to choose from along the route as it winds around Minneapolis lakes, travels along Minnehaha Creek passing the falls, and along the West River Road parkway skirting the Mississippi river.

There are city bike rentals at various points along the grand rounds so you can be spontaneous. Great scenery and well kept trails. Super place to ride and suitable for families!

The Grand Rounds mostly follows lightly traveled streets, and many miles of bicycle paths, following the Chain of Lakes, Parkways, the U of MN, and the Mississippi River. About 32 miles in total, but possible to shortcut in a few places.

Biked from the Stone Arch Bridge, to Cedar Lake, to Minnehaha Park, then to the U of M campus. All in all about 25 miles. Definitely one of the best bike rides I've ever been on. The trail design is excellent - there is a designated two-way bike lane and a pedestrian lane, so you can save a few bucks... More

My wife and I often bike along the Grand Rounds. While it can be busy on beautiful days, especially on weekends, it has separate paved paths for bikers and walkers. Also, we always appreciate being off the streets. Riding around the lakes is beautiful. Biking along Minnehaha Creek is wonderful. (Especially the far western end.) Feels like you are in... More

This bike route was quite pretty and allowed us to see a bit of the city by bike. Overall, Minneapolis is very bike-able, and this route is a reason why.
