This house, an iconic place from the MTM TV show is located just west of Lake of the Isles in the Kenwood neighborhood of So Minneapolis. Unless you are a big fan of the show, there is no reason to waste you time. The house has been remodeled and repainted. It is no longer white, buts has maintained its front... More

The house is hard to find because the streets run at angles. The house sits in a lovely neighborhood through which you can stroll and see other interesting homes as well.

I loved the Mary Tyler Moore Show when I was little, I watched it on TV Land all the time. Being able to see her statue and the house has made both of my kids interested, even if just to see the show once to be able to put a face, in color, not bronze, to a name and place.... More

Situated in the corner of Kenwood Parkway.....in the midst of other nice houses not far from the Sculpture Garden and he Nature Conservatory.....kind a nice throw back to childhood. Seeing the house featured on the intro credits. You can turn the World on with your smile....worth the trip.

This is a private home. I don't know anything about tours, but it's easy to find, just west of Lake of the Isles, and it's on a corner lot. Nice old house. Keep going west towards Cedar Lake for a nice walk or bicycle tour.

If you were a fan of the show it is worth driving by if you have the time and nothing else planned. It is a nice house and was for sale when we were there. Very nice neighborhood and a pretty little lake a few blocks away.

This is a beautiful home on the corner of 21st and Kenwood Parkway. It looks nothing like it it did in the opening of the MTM show. I often drive visitors by the home, but most are skeptical that it is the actual home that was filmed in the TV show. The home is privately owned and tours are not... More

It's always a pleasure to see this house on the corner of 21st and Penn. It's the house where Mary Richards supposedly lived for the first five years of her time in Minneapolis. Rhoda Morgenstern lived in the garrett above her, and Phyllis Lindstrom lived downstairs. It's best to go at night, because frequently the space where Mary lived is... More

My cousin drove my mother and I there on our first trip to the city. Fun to see all the walkers around Lake of the Isles on the way there ans remember Mary Richards walking around it herself in the opening. Local drivers were very considerate about us jumping out for a picture!
